last month also previewed a pop-out
section with cameras likely enclosed.
This panel can be clearly seen behind
the wheel arches and will likely
replace conventional wing mirrors]

This is just a concept car, the real production car will not be ready for a year at least and will not look anything like this

It looks like something Lady Penelope would have from Thunderbirds ,if she was in the 21st century .

I was just watching the ad for it , no rear window??? ...erm isn't that illegal ? . You can't drive a car with no rear window . How are you supposed to see what's behind you , safety reasons etc ?. Or will they change this...as this is just a prototype? .
So apart from that , it's another flashy car wanting to stand out Barbie style lol.

You can drive a van with no rear window so not sure what the legality is...would imagine the on board cameras will give you a 360 view of the car and road

Seeing this makes me really miss those old school classic British style Jag’s from the 80s like the XJ.

Interesting that they fill their silly advert with androgenous models, put a man in a dress, make this big statement about gender... then offer their daft cars in two colours: pink and blue.

It's a concept car. No one's ever driving it on the road.
…create exuberant..?…live vivid…?…delete ordinary….?…break moulds…?…copy nothing…?…
…all of that teasing and really it was just…think pink…
they can go from concept to reality very quickly these days, so that's not really a problem. The problem will be shifting the numbers to make it profitable which is why they are trying the radical new ideas

the issue is its not radical new ideas. Its very hard to differentiate between electric cars as they are just a box with a large battery inside

A large battery that could burst into flames at any time and burn your house down. How many accounts have we read about electric cars (and scooters, and bikes...) bursting into flames? Also, when I lived in London, I lived in a long road of terraced houses. There was no off-road parking, how would you install charges for people living in those houses? The stage we're at with electric cars is probably equal to where flight was with the Wright Brothers.
Making a pretend car out of a kit is not going to save Jaguar now.

yeah, that they then add a shell to and add a pot of pink paint to the line. The drive train etc is standard, the inside by now is standard, Forgetting every other pro or con of an electric vehicle, they are fundamentally boring. Combustion engines will always be more appealing than a silent motor attached to a big battery
