The couple who run PinkNews, the world's largest LGBT news website, have
been accused by staff of multiple incidents of sexual misconduct.

Several former staff members told the BBC they saw Anthony James, a director
at the UK-based company and husband of its founder, kissing and touching a
junior colleague who they say appeared too drunk to consent.

And more than 30 current and former members of staff said a culture of heavy
drinking led to instances when founder Benjamin Cohen and his husband
behaved inappropriately towards younger male employees.

Multiple former staff members have told the BBC they had experienced
bullying and sexual misconduct which made some of them feel unsafe to be
alone around Mr Cohen and Dr James. Allegations of misogyny have also
emerged and several people told us that some young female members of
staff had been asked to act as the couple's surrogates.

'Creepy and sleazy'

One anonymous staff member called it "creepy and sleazy", while another
called it "part and parcel" of how "misogynistic" PinkNews was.

Sheila Fogerty referred to it briefly on her LBC show yesterday, other than that no

…I think that it is making its way to mainstream media but I often find with stories atm, that for some reason some take much more time than others…it just feels that any type of ‘corporate power’ or power within the work place is exploited and abused in sexual misconduct and abuse…it’s very concerning …the positive of it, though/if positive is a descriptive that could be used…?…is that this isn’t something so much that’s being looked back on in retrospect like Mohamed Al Fayed, for instance…it’s being identified and addressed right now as it’s happening…

these people are generally allowed to do this sort of stuff while the powers that be gain some advantage from them. It's just how power works in the UK and USA. All of these reports coming out are just the tip of the iceberg and what happens when the people in power change over

from what she said they denied all allegations so because there is an ongoing case she couldn't really discuss it
