Delayed at Denver airport and bumping into someone I'd worked with in London (actually someone I'd have been happy never to see again).
Going to a concert at Wembley Stadium and sitting behind someone I was at uni with.
Meeting an English couple in a bar in New York and finding out that the woman had grown up in the same East Ham street where my Dad grew up.
Small world... Wouldn't want to hoover it, though.

When I was on holiday in Malta in about 2007 I was waiting for a bus in the big bus terminus in Sliema back to my hotel wearing a Wales T-shirt. The head bus conductor (Maltese man in his late 50’s or maybe older) walks over to me, all very professional looking in a smart uniform and holding a clipboard, and comments on the top and asks where in Wales I’m from so I tell him.
Turns out that during the 60’s (I think) he lived near here for a period of time and worked as a hospital porter in my town’s hospital.

A workplace and a school in the same locality having some of the same people isn't that big of a coincidence
