It's similar to my Video Games League basically but with Music Albums.

And like with the Video Games one, I will update my Albums League once I've listened to a considerable amount of Albums to warrant the update.

And obviously anyone that wants to do their own Albums list is more than welcome to do so.

Here's my rankings in order:

1. Ella Langley - Hungover
2. Semblant - Lunar Manifesto
3. Semblant - Obscura
4. Japan - Gentlemen Take Polaroids
5. Japan - Tin Drum
6. Muse - Showbiz
7. David Kushner - The Dichotomy
8. Arch Enemy - Will To Power
9. Vertical Horizon - Everything You Want
10. Aiden Grimshaw - Misty Eye
11. Take That - Beautiful World
12. Daniel Bedingfield - Gotta Get Thru This
13. Matt Cardle - Letters
14. Alabama Shakes - Sound & Color
15. Kim Deal - Nobody Loves You More

Tbf to all of the Albums that I've listened to so far (even Kim Deal's Album) I think that they've all had merit to them personally, I would say that Kim Deal's Album is the only one that I personally couldn't take to, but I still appreciate the talent that she's bringing to the table.

I really enjoyed my top 10, in particular I don't think that there is a dud song on Ella Langley's Album imo, but obviously some people will see it differently to me.

And I hope that you all have a good day.

Nice idea for a thread

May I enquire why you have included an album you ‘couldn’t take to’ in your top 15 list ??

Nice idea for a thread

May I enquire why you have included an album you ‘couldn’t take to’ in your top 15 list ??

It's because it was one of the last 15 Albums that I've listened to.

It's why it's on there, it will most likely be lower once I start adding more Albums to the list.

I think you'll like it...might take a couple of listens. Not one bad song on it imo.

And good lists btw guys.

I myself need to start checking more older Music Albums out, as I do like some of the artists singles from the 70's & 80's.

Mystic Mock
12-02-2025, 09:49 AM
Before I do my update, I just want to say that I am not hating on any of these artists on a personal level if I've placed them low on my list, I am judging mainly on my own perception of song quality, vocals, lyrical content, and just that little something extra that only so few Albums can deliver imo.

And obviously I know that these artists have worked hard on their material... I hope.

Anyway here's my updated list for anyone that's interested.

Tbf though I get that other people will like them, they're just not for me.

I really like a lot of the Albums on this list though, especially Albums 1-24, there's something special about those particular Albums for me personally.

If you’re going to start with a piano album, Ludovico is the guy. You’ve probably already heard some of his stuff without realising it in TV/adverts/radio. My suggestion though listen when you’re in a chilled mindset.

I did listen to one of his live performances on YouTube.

It was definitely an experience, probably one of my favourite performances from him.
