Who needs the winter fuel allowance when you can just embrace the cold and live out your final days as a human popsicle?

Cherie

Its the line in the song where Starmer is commiserating about an elderly person not getting out of bed because of the cold, and this is when they were getting the allowance, he is only interested in self promotion

My advice to the pensioners, stick the heating up to max, and leave it in all winter and dont pay a penny. Theres a good chance you will be dead by the time they chase you to court for the non payment.

Here to help.

That age old dilemma ..

Put the heating on full when the home is cold or leave the heating on all the time set at a low temperature but not cold.

The BBC insists it's impartial and that it belongs to all of us. What utter b*****ks that is.

tbh this ban has ensured it will be Christmas No. 1 ....how will they deal with in the countdown, if there still is one

The BBC didn't have a problem playing a charity song for starving people in Africa but
won't play a charity song raising money for our own pensioners.

The same way they dealt with Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Relax. Was talking about it earlier... Sex Pistols, God Save the Queen... Chuck Berry's My Ding-a-ling... Trust my Dad to remember that one.

It won't actually win though will it, looks like Wham is pretty nailed on?

You’d think it would be number one each and every Christmas tbh

It is currently number 1 in the Official Big Top 40 chart from Global but does not feature at all in the BBC chart top 40

Hard to believe, its an okay song but nothing special

Its nostalgia and the fact that no one does Christmas songs anymore as the charts are a thing of the past

It's the right decision IMO. We don't need to politicise Christmas.

Wham is Christmas no. 1

Bearing in mind the Beeb, Capital, etc wouldn't play it, not too shabby

Wham being No.1 two years in a row is a disgrace, there are far superior Christmas songs.

It's basically like Russia Today with it defending whoever is in charge at that current moment time.

I personally agree with not politicizing Christmas stuff.

But I don't agree with censorship either, which the song charted in the top 40, so it should be being played imo.
