[The 79-year-old musician wrote on
his website earlier this week that both he
and his band, The Chrome Hearts,
were pulling out because the BBC's involvement
was a "corporate turn-off".
He has now said in a statement that this decision
was down to "an error in the information I received".]

…this is a bit confusing in the reporting because apparently he is playing …he’s the first confirmed headliner…

….the last bit of the Sky news article…

In an updated statement, he wrote: "Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved.

"Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there!"

…and from another article…

Neil Young will headline Glastonbury Festival after initially turning down the offer, saying the music event was “under corporate control” of the BBC.

Co-organiser Emily Eavis confirmed in an Instagram post that Young will return to the Pyramid stage at Worthy Farm as a headline act, the first to be confirmed for this year’s festival.

….i don’t know what the ‘terms’ were that he wasn’t keen on but he’s obviously negotiated those more his way so it looks as though he is a confirmed headliner now…the first one…on a side note, I didn’t know that he was married to Daryl Hannah…I’m not great and up on celebrity in the know stuff…

Neil used to be a lovely guy, but he has gone a bit cranky/eccentric in his old age .... he is 80 years old now and has very firm principles and is very set in his ways
