Now she is older, she is better.
…was Demi Moore really ‘moaning’ about it, though…I mean, I haven’t watched any of the Golden Globes but it sounds as though it’s a ‘story’ she told because it has relevance to the movie and the still ‘popcorn world’ of Hollywood and a theme in Substance…so a relevant connection to make …
…anyway, well done Demi……
…Anna Sawai…probably my favourite frock of the event……

…Kate Winslet’s trouser suit was also gorgeous…

…yes sir, I will for sure watch the clip…Demi was part of that ‘80’s brat pack’, wasn’t she…so I would say that they all could have been thought of as a popcorn pack…it’s probably a bit of a ‘right of passage’ many have to go through in Hollywood, maybe…from popcorn to golden globes, a nice achievement for her as some won’t get past the popcorn phase…

corruption me thinks with these awards :umm2:
once again, another award show, another time of Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez being robbed of a win :idc:
Exactly. Have you seen Substance Ammi?
…no, I haven’t seen it yet…I’m always on a mission at this time of year to watch as many Oscar nominated movies as possible before the awards…(…for free if possible is my first part of the mission…)….

[Adolescence star Owen Cooper continued
his record-breaking run of awards success,
as he scooped the Supporting Actor gong
at the 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday.
In the midst of studying for his GCSEs,

red carpets to accept a string of honours
for his role in the hard-hitting Netflix drama.
Adolescence was tipped as a favourite
at this year's awards, and their success began
early in the ceremony, as Owen's became
the youngest actor ever to receive the honour.]

…Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus and Jean Smart for Hacks……both excellent award choices…I did watch a few episodes of The Pitt to see what the hype was and couldn’t quite get into it at that time…it has great reviews but I just wasn’t feeling it…
I’ve just watched about 9 hours of Hunger Games over the last 3 days but I wouldn’t have recognised Jennifer Lawrence !!
Wonder if she’s had some work done or maybe just weight loss - her face is really different though
I preferred her before tbh

God, I hate awards shows. Lots of luvvies giving each other awards while wearing designer-donated clothes and Jewellery and gushing about their "art". They all take themselves so seriously and just can't bring themselves to acknowledge that they're lucky to be living the dream. There should be an award for "best actor to have spent the last year waiting tables". Acting is something you're either good at or not, like learning languages or playing the piano. Anyone can learn to play the piano but you have to have a natural inclination to do it well. And it doesn't matter how good you are you either have to have parents who are actors, be in the right place at the right time or be able to afford a fabulous publicist. Act, do it well but don't overestimate the importance of what you're doing or how lucky you are to be well paid for it. And definitely don't expect a ****ing trophy. Sir Anthony Hopkins said, "It's just acting. It's not brain surgery". How true.

It's the only thing that would make me watch. Ricky Gervais has even less time for their nonsense than I do.
