Work on Fallout season two has been shut down by wildfires that are currently sweeping across Los Angeles.

The first season of Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation of hit video game franchise Fallout premiered in April last year. It quickly became one of the most-watched programmes on the streamer and was nominated for several awards at the 2024 Emmys.

A second season of Fallout was greenlit a few weeks after the first season aired, and filming began in November 2024 before taking a break for Christmas. While the first season was filmed in New York, the second season is being filmed in California’s Santa Clarita.

Production was due to restart yesterday (January 8) but it’s been delayed due to the wildfires that are currently raging through Los Angeles.

Initially Deadline reported that work on Fallout was set to resume tomorrow (January 10) but with high winds still spreading the wildfires, there’s no guarantee that will be the case. Fallout season 2 doesn’t currently have a release date, though fans aren’t expecting it to come before 2026.

Last summer, showrunner Graham Wagner confirmed that many of Fallout’s heroes would be heading to New Vegas in season two and teased the arrival of fan-favourite character Mr House, who was first introduced in Fallout: New Vegas. The new season will also see Macaulay Culkin join the cast as a “crazy, genius-type character”.

Fallout season 2 posters give us our best look yet at two key New Vegas factions, with a notable change from the games

Fallout season 2 is heading to our screens in less than two months, with newly released posters teasing two key New Vegas factions that will be featured in the new episodes. Fans of the video game might have noticed that one of them are looking quite changed, confirming one major departure from the original source.

The Prime Video show, starring Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean alongside Walton Goggins as The Ghoul and Aaron Moten as Maximus, is introducing a new and exciting setting in the new season – we're talking, of course, of New Vegas, which was teased in the Fallout season 1 ending last year.

As the protagonists arrive in the city, new factions will be revealed, including Caesar's Legion and a gang of Elvis impersonators known as the Kings. As revealed by four new character posters (which you can check out in the tweet below), the Elvis gang are Ghouls in the show, whereas in the games they're human.

We'll have to wait to see the episodes to find out if there are any more changes from the games. So far, we got to see the first Fallout season 2 trailer back in August, featuring Lucy and The Ghoul heading to New Vegas as she finds out that the city is where the nuclear disaster began.

i only recently completed Reunions, and have now gained access to the institute, i also am on good terms with both the brotherhood and with the railroad, while being the leader of the minutemen, still am thinking who to eventually side with if i have to make those choices, like Railroad = freedom for synths, which is an ethical cause, brotherhood = lots of technology and power, which are a powerful faction, and institute = clean water, purified air but some unethical choices from their council, hmmmmmm :think:

I destroyed the synths and the institute lol. I sided with minutemen in the end.

Yes, i like D.I.M.A. tbh, but i accidentally told the institute about them, or well not going any further into that anymore, just dropped a hint of free synths

don't care about anything Fallout anymore, since Bethesda ruined my Fallout 4 game with its unnecessary anniversary edition update stench :idc: and still no fix for my DLC content

and don't tell me its because i have a PS4 version on a PS5 console, because PS5 has the backwards compatibility function


what i could try to do, is uninstall it from my PS4 external drive and then reinstall it? and start from scratch, but that is something i ain't too keen on, how far i did get through the game's storyline, although at least now i know an easy way to get past fort hagen level using Ada, whom basically is indestructible vs those synths and Kellogg
