It's Magic!

Liam and Chanelle have been ordered by Big Brother to enthral partygoers with their special brand of magic and mystery. But the pair found lots of the tricks a little, um, tricky...

They were shown a video on the plasma screen in the practice room, which they stared at, bemused, before being given their box of tricks and instructions. Tomorrow, they have to perform seven tricks at Big Brother's birthday party, including a card trick, a rope trick, and one featuring an, erm, magical racoon.

Liam pulled a rather moth-eaten fake racoon out of the box, and manhandled it comically.

"That is the most scariest animal, I don't ever wanna touch it," Chanelle grimaced, shying away from Liam's 'racoon'. "I have to help you as the magician's assistant - what should I do?"

"Um... the tricks are very difficult to understand," the lad replied, squinting at the instruction sheet for a rope trick. "I'm gonna be sick, this is that difficult."

Chanelle laughed. "I don't think you should be sick!"

The baffled pair continued to read the instructions, before Liam took a length of rope and began to knot it, following the steps and looking extremely perplexed. Chanelle followed suit.

Liam and Chanelle spent last night practising rope tricks and cup and ball routines, as they prepared to wow the guests with their magic skills at Big Brother's birthday party on Tuesday evening.

Big Brother kicked their training off with a how-to video in the practice room, before they started to experiment with their props.

Among the tricks they have to master are the vanishing hanky mystery box, the magical raccoon, the cup and ball and the cut and restore rope trick. Liam must also perform one trick on his assistant, Chanelle.

"I like having a rope in my hand," Liam told Chanelle, as he attempted the cut and restore rope trick. "I'm scared," she replied. "Not in a pervy way," protested Liam. "It's what I use for me job."

After a confused start, some repeated rule reading helped them get to grips with their routine.
