Did I hear it was a primary school he was planning to target. Why do these animals always want the blood of little kids?

How did he manage to buy a shotgun with no licence? Heads should roll...

Hugely worrying to see this particular stateside cultural phenomenon starting to make its way over here. I honestly can't imagine how parents send kids to schools even knowing this is a risk, if it's going to be an increasing issue, all I can say is that selfishly I feel very glad that my own kids only have a couple of years of school left.

Jewish schools have had guards and lockdown procedures for decades, I don't hear that people feel particularly bothered that Jewish kids face a huge risk at school every day. And the risk is not from the far right. Maybe mainstream schools can impose security measures too. Unless people think it would be unacceptable for kids to have to endure that kind if security just to go to school.

To be fair I was at the end of primary school when the Dunblane incident happened and vividly remember the changes that were put in place - the big open playground suddenly having tall metal fences with spikes installed around it, and the previously very open school having an "airlock" entry system put in place (secure doors and buzzer reception to get in). I think most (all?) schools still have the latter as a requirement, but security has clearly lessened with it as time has passed, as my daughter's school (which had a secure entry area) ... also frequently had the fire doors round the back left open in summer.

You won't find a Jewish school in London leaving the doors open in summer. The kids can't even wear their blazers in public for fear some Muslim will attack them. You have to match your security to the threat posed.
