And/or maybe like the more stimulating, similarly-legal (at least in the U.K.) ‘version’ of it (i.e., CBG)?

In reality there are many, many mellowing ‘entourage-cannabinoids’ beyond CBD so if you utilise the health-benefits of CBG, CBC, CBT and so-on (with or without actual THC), … well. That’s your business and there nothing wrong with that.

I have nothing against CBD.

I just don't take it.

Legal marijuana one of North America’s ‘greatest mistakes’, Elton John says

Musician, who has been sober for 34 years, says marijuana is addictive and ‘leads to other drugs’

I do actually. I started using it when I was getting a load of weird health symptoms which I think were probably caused by stress. These largely subsided over quite a few months and I don't know if the CBD played some part or no part in that but it's become a bit of a routine now

So you keep saying, and you can until you’re blue in the face but it doesn’t change anything.

At the end of the day, all our bodies have endocannabinoid systems and the likes of CBD help for maintaining overall body-mind homeostasis besides specific health problems. Everyone’s probably just that little bit better with than without CBD.

Just ignore LT. I don’t think he actually believes half the bait he posts. There’s no endo-whisky system in the body and he knows that. I don’t think his hypocrisy genuinely extends as far as CBD. Don’t let his arrant nonsense wind you up.

Being honest, I'm just not entirely convinced it does anything without the THC... actual results of studies are mixed/inconclusive.

That’s the point of full-spectrum CBD. That is literally the whole point of it.

As I'm sure you probably know, studies and research into the effectiveness of CBD vs placebo are as-yet inconclusive, the reason it's now widely available is that the research DOES show that it doesn't cause harm. I didn't say "it doesn't work", I said I'm not entirely convinced. Anecdotally, I do have the occasional CBD-containing-product from time to time and have found that it might relieve some stress - but I don't know if it's a placebo effect. The key point there being... if it's harmless, then that doesn't really matter (placebo AS effective treatment is a fascinating area, the mind and perception is a powerful thing).

Anyway tl;dr when I said I'm not entirely convinced I don't mean I don't think it works or even that I'm not > 50% convinced, I just put my stock in the actual research, and that is ongoing.

Aha it doesn't wind me up, I was always sceptical tbh but I think something like CBD can be helpful in calming the nervous system and help ease your body away from a state of stress. And it might be placebo but then placebo is a legitimate medicine too. Ultimately our understanding of all these things is still very limited. I became a lot more sympathetic to a lot of homoeopathic medicines and other things when I realised that even modern medicine has very little idea what's going on half the time

Mr Perpetual Debater, you’re not listening and you’re not getting it.

Full-spectrum CBD is CBD that has enough THC to fully activate the CBD but little enough to meet the ubiquitous legal threshold, just-about 0.3%. I’m not getting into a pointless debate with you about this, because that’s the direction a good half of your posts go down anyway (it’s the ENTP in you) and I’m just not trying to be about that vibe on this, but … ya. You need to first-of-all get acquainted with what full-spectrum CBD is and means before the empirical naysay inundates this thread.

There’s no doubt that CBD : THC, whether it’s as full-spectrum CBD or … otherwise (whatever relationship anyone chooses to have and maintain with THC is their business, right?), works better than CBD that’s completely isolated from THC. I’m not disagreeing with you. And that was my point about full-spectrum CBD. I still think broader-spectrum/isolate CBD isn’t without its benefits but if you think the jury’s out on it, that’s fair enough. That per-se I’m not fighting you on.

Our bodies are definitely better-off with than without CBD.
