The owner of a soon-to-open women’s-only gym in London has faced backlash
online after clarifying that the space will not be open to biological men who
choose to identify as transgender, and instead prioritize the safety of biological
women.

The gym “stems from the desire to tackle gym harassment, intimidation and
sexual harassment that women face in the gym regularly,” and markets itself as
“an environment that allows women to thrive as women.”

changing room, I asked the gym to clarify their policy & received this response
(below).

How has it become commonplace for adult males to now be allowed into our
single-sex changing rooms? How come us females were never consulted about
this? Whatever happened to our right to a single-sex changing space?🤔

If you are among the minority of woman who are comfortable sharing your
single-sex changing room with adult males, I completely respect that. But
what about the majority of us, who aren’t?

I for one don’t agree with this policy and so I have cancelled my membership
of that gym as a result.

I've said it once and I've said it a million times , thank christ I don't go to the gym anymore ! ,and haven't been for yearsss.

What with men thinking it's perfectly ok to invade women's only spaces, whilst not giving 2 fcks that they make women and girls uncomfortable .

And rage baiting influencers filming people without their consent.


Then there's the idiots who like to mock & harass innocent people who are just peacefully working out , then they post it online for likes & views.... again without
the victim's permission.

The gym and changing room spaces have become a massive joke, it's disgusting really.
