[Workers will receive no bonus again
despite the department store chain
returning to profit]

The Chief Executive (Nish Kankiwala)
said:

['We're looking at all the opportunities as we
improve our ways of working and
if there is eventually a reduction in roles,
then we'll use (staff) attrition in the same
way as we have done in the past.

'If there are unfortunately, regrettably,
redundancies,
then we'll talk to our partners first.']

What stopped them in previous years?
That couldn't be because of Con policy issues could it??

They probably never intended to return to staff bonuses anyhow.

Bad Sales, previous years.

The Staff thought that as profits went up
they would return.

But the National Insurance changes on the Labour budget
halted it all.

Was debated today on TV and Radio

Hmm, seems a much more sort of convenient excuse, rather than fact, for a huge concern like John Lewis anyhow.

That's ridiculous. We always get our bonus at our workplace.
