Big Brother Highlights Show (July 17th 2007) (Contains Spoilers)

Tonight on Big Brother:
A playfight erupts between Liam, the twins and Ziggy (much to Carole's annoyance), Ziggy and Chanelle row over Charley again, the housemates make preperations for Big Brother's 8th birthday, too which only 5 of the housemates are invited and Nicky and Gerry learn that they are up for eviction.

For those who missed it, here's the transcript for today's highlights show:

Day 48
10.13am
Ziggy is telling Carole that he and Chanelle were punished for discussing nominations yesterday and could only nominate one Housemate each. Carole takes it in, “It’s a shame, because in doing that, it may alter everything.”
12.26pm
Chanelle is worrying about how she’ll be portrayed after all her ups and downs with Ziggy. Carole tells her not to worry and that she’ll be fairly portrayed. Chanelle says she may come across less positively, “Cause everybody loves Charley so much on the outside world…”
Liam and Carole tell her that, that might not be the case, reminding her that Charley is “ever the optimist”, compared to Chanelle who is more self-doubting. “I’ve tried my hardest to see the good side in someone who I don’t like,” Chanelle explains. “But I swear to God, I just can’t…”.
1.25pm
Brian has cut his ear while shaving his head. He joins the group in the living room as they receive this week’s shopping task, to celebrate Big Brother’s Birthday. Five housemates (Nicky, Gerry, Ziggy, Sam and Amanda) will be the invited guests, while the remaining six housemates divide party entertainer roles between them.
Carole is quick to assign roles to the others, but Charley is adamant that she won’t be a clown. “I’m not being a clown, I’m telling you right now, straight up. I’m scared of clowns.” She goes into the garden in a huff. Carole says they should ignore her demands and risk a fail - if she refuses to be a clown, they will not assign her another role. Charley is very annoyed and a bitchy exchange starts between her and Chanelle.
When asked by Big Brother to confirm their roles as magician and assistant, Liam announces himself as “North East It Boy” while Chanelle says “West Yorkshire It Girl”. A grumpy Charley sees that they are mimicking her and does not see the funny side. “There’s only one Charley…do you understand the meaning of ‘It’?”

2.16pm
Charley is in the Diary Room. She tells Big Brother that she is trying to keep to her word and rise above arguments, keeping “calm and collective”.
She talks about the crowd reaction during her fake eviction last Friday. “I did exaggerate a bit,” she admits. “I didn’t hear what everyone was really saying…I did see them holding up signs…a lot of people were cheering me on, I dunno if it was fake or what, but I loved it and I lapped it up and they don’t need to know that.” She goes on, “I made them think that everyone idolized me, and I don’t care if it made people upset along the way. It was my way of getting back [at] them and I’m not gonna change my ways of what I said or what I heard…why should I? It was my way of revenge.”
Ziggy and Liam are talking about how difficult it is to argue with Charley, who - being female – seems to get away with hurling abuse at them. Ziggy says that as men, they will never win the argument. Liam says that girls often start crying, which also makes it difficult.
“You can’t just grab them by the neck,” says Ziggy.
“That’s the same in everyday life…you should be a gentleman,” Liam reminds him.
3.55pm
Brian is practising his one-man band task. In the bedroom, the twins start a play-fight by sneaking up on a sleeping Liam. Ziggy joins in and smears one of them in shaving cream, and then they begin chasing each other around the house and jumping in the pool. Carole is very annoyed as she had just cleaned the pool, calling Ziggy a “******ing imbecile.”
4.08pm
Despite saying they’ll clean up, Ziggy and the twins are being reprimanded by Carole. Ziggy starts accusing Carole of double standards and for only wanting fun on her terms. They shout over each other. “It’s all about your rules!” he tells her.
4.15pm
Brian is in the Diary Room. A dejected Big Brother says, “Big Brother just doesn’t feel as young as Big Brother used to.” Brian consoles Big Brother. “You’re only eight years old you know, seriously…so I wouldn’t get cranky about it just yet…you’ve got plenty of things to go through, like puberty, getting turned down at the first dance, like losing your virginity (that might not happen for years though, Big Brother)…so I wouldn’t like get all aggro about it. I wish I could go back to being a kid again, I’m proper old and stuff.”
4.45pm
Ziggy and Chanelle are rowing in the bedroom about Charley. "It's 'cause I don't share the same opinion that you want me to share," Ziggy snaps. "You want me to hate the person that you don't like." He says that perhaps she and Charley are quite similar and both crave the limelight, and this does not go down well with Chanelle, who starts to yell at him for patronising her and for not supporting her. Ziggy says she is trying to make him look “a fool” and Chanelle starts to cry, which exasperates him even more. “Both of you are nuts!” he shouts, which in turn upsets her even more.
6.21pm
Gerry is advising Ziggy about how to handle Chanelle. He suggests Ziggy keeps “a physical distance” from her. Ziggy vows that this will be their last argument.
Chanelle is in the bathroom being advised by Charley and Nicky on how to handle Ziggy. Nicky tells Chanelle that she needs to take charge and decide for herself what to do about their relationship, and that all her angst over Ziggy is spoiling her Big Brother experience. Charley agrees and says that she and Chanelle got on in the first week, but that everything changed when Ziggy entered the house. Tracey joins in the chat. Nicky tells Chanelle that Ziggy is not being respectful and should be making more effort in the house if he is as genuine and caring as he claims.
7.18pm
Big Brother reveals the nominations result to the house. Gerry and Nicky face eviction on Friday. “I’m not surprised, it’s cool,” says Nicky. “I knew it’d be me again…I don’t think I deserve it again, but never mind.”
Gerry says he knows who nominated him but is fine. “I’m facing my destiny here.”
8.12pm
Liam, Chanelle and Gerry are talking in the garden. Liam says he is happy with the nominations result as he suspects that Nicky will go.
Charley and Ziggy are talking in the bedroom about his quarrel with Chanelle. Charley reminds him that he and Chanelle need to enjoy themselves in the house. Ziggy says their problems are private, but he understands Chanelle and is closest to her. Charley says “She’s naïve, bless her…be honest, can you see anything changing, the way she acts?” She adds, “Her ways ain’t gonna change, put it that way. You’ve been with a lot older girls and you should know that.”
8.53pm
Ziggy finds Chanelle curled up on the bathroom sofa and apologises to her for raising his voice and upsetting her. She makes a noise of acknowledgment and he leaves the room.
11.19pm
Ziggy and Gerry are talking in the garden. Gerry is now feeling the impact of being nominated, and who could have put him up. Ziggy informs him that he and Chanelle could only cast one vote each. Gerry considers the ramifications of this.
12.14am
Tracey and Nicky are in the bathroom. Nicky is trying to be positive about her nomination. Gerry is in the Diary Room and tells Big Brother he is “feeling terrible” about facing eviction. He says his sole motive for entering the house was “craving for acceptance” and that just hearing a few people shouting his name and saying they like him will have made the whole experience worthwhile.

I'm gonna give tonight's highlights show 10/10 purely because it showed Caroles true colours. :thumbs:
