It is
as the lack of Proper food.

Iron-Rich Foods:
Legumes: Lentils, beans, and chickpeas are excellent sources of iron.
Dark Leafy Greens: Spinach, kale, and collard greens are good sources of iron.
Fortified Foods: Many breakfast cereals and breads are fortified with iron.
Nuts and Seeds: Pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, and almonds are also good sources of iron.
Dried Fruits: Apricots, prunes, and figs can contribute to iron intake
Pair that lot with vitamin C rich foods for better absorption
Vegans who have a poor Vegan diet will suffer, its about eating well and non vegans are just as bad and suffer from all sorts of issues if they eat poorly

Arista, you are always eating ready meals and other ultra processed crap, that's what's not real food, it's a insult to those poor animals whose lives were taken to go into products like that.

I don't eat meat or use dairy and I assure you I am quite healthy, I love animals so I don't eat them or use their bodily fluids,I dont know why people who eat animals get so triggered by those that don't. If you saw an animals getting abused etc ,you would step in to help, but its okay to turn a blind eye to the terrible conditions factory farms keep their animals in,Ive seen terrible footage it's disgraceful that some humans can do this.

I think what I’ll do one of these days is cook jollof rice with goose, rabbit and turkey feet. Upon smelling it and a diluted-goose-stock-spiced-up Earl Grey, you can then decide if you’re still trying to be about the vegan life. It may cause a sudden re-evaluation of plant-based commitments. (Jokes, obviously.)

Redway’s about to get cooking. Who wants peppered rabbit and quail on breadfruit?
I distinctly remember my nurse assistant some time back during my physical asking if I were on a special diet (vegetarian/vegan) and when I said "No", she said "Good". In other words, they shouldn't expect too many problems when they run my bloodwork... I think I had asked about it, but I don't remember exactly what she said, but I think that was gist of it.
It might be because some people go really overboard and go strict with their diet and stick to certain staple comfort foods that don't fill the gap, especially if they struggle with cravings.
I've sometimes struggled with Iron because 1) female and 2) Not being a heavy eater to begin with. I do eat meat though.
If that person is a heavy caffeine person or drink/eats lots of beverages and other processed crap that cause their body to dump nutrients, they can have an issue also. So there's lots of reasons to run into deficiencies. It's hard to blame it on one single thing.

That's a bit of an unfair stigma.
But obviously not having any meat at all isn't the most healthy option in the world, but also being pure carnivore isn't good for Humans either tbf.
Tbh I will never understand this culture war, as long as I'm happy with what's going into my mouth, then I don't care about what's going into someone else's mouth.

I do... But I only buy local, high welfare meat. Sadly, this is very expensive and this prohibits some people from being able to afford it. Vegetarians eat everything except meat, as far as I can see. Vegans severely restrict their diet even though it leaves a lot of them undernourished. Some of them sound like they're in some kind of cult. I have a turkey farm not far from me, the turkeys are all free range and well cared for and actually, would not exist if they hadn't been reared for meat. The woman who owns the farm takes their welfare extremely seriously yet is plagued by vegans turning up, blocking her drive, letting the turkeys out during the night (never mind the foxes...). She must be so tempted to fetch the shotgun. With so many intensive chicken farms around you'd think they'd pick their targets.

They are unnaturally bred and then murdered, it doesn't matter how well they're cared for, they shouldn't exist in such high numbers just to end up on people's plates. Foxes don't know any better, we do. Veganism isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle where you don't use any animal products, meat, dairy, honey, leather etc.. because you're trying to do as little harm as possible, it doesn't mean you have to be militant or cultish, it's a personal journey for each vegan, there are different levels to it.

For me Livia its all about the animals not what I want,I get annoyed with people who ah and coo over baby animals especially lambs, and the next minute they are on their plates,I just don't get that. Each to their own,I have family and friends who eat dead animals, but for me its just a no no,Ive seen too many documentries etc, to think humans can be trusted to be kind to these poor souls,I'de rather not exist at all than to live like some of them do,mainly the factory farmers ,dairy and chicken farms. Its not a cult for me just my way of life.

Very well said.
You yourself kind of helped steer me to being vegetarian from all you said in the past and your experience.
Never mind slaughterhouses, that's absolutely horrific.
The Farming of animals leaves a great deal to be considered too as to how farmers and their staff abuse the animals in their charge.
Recently I saw a statement that said, a chicken roasting in an oven, had more space then than it ever had in its life.
It's gross.
My main regret is that it took me so long to realise this and decide to go vegetarian, and move to being vegan too as I am doing, slowly admittedly.
So again to you Kazanne, very well said.

It was hard to come off eggs and fish but Im used to it now,and yes Joey its a big regret of mine that I didnt do it sooner,i found coming off dairy pretty easy, but it can be challenging and we get a fair bit of stick from meat eaters for some reason, what's so bad about wanting the least harm to animals ? we cant save them all,but one is better than none.
