The disheveled gestalt of a doddering septuagenarian is juxtaposed with the cool disposition of a casually abandoned Woodstock veteran on a steep learning curve, sporting a first class facelift and showing great wisdom in navigating the treacherous routes travelled by the usual feral gangs of backstabbers and 'wuckfits' of BB.
O'Rourke's facelift is a work of art, executed with skill and suggesting a great deal of compassion for the facelift recipient. Fifteen years ago he looked 20 years older than his lifted face does today. Kudos to the surgeon and good luck to his walking, talking advertisement, Mickey O'Rourke.

Shame he had to go down the route of surgery in the first place .. he was ill prepared enter the brutal world of professional boxing in the first place and this was compounded by starting at the age of 39 !!

His last fight was at the age of 62 https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20250409/53cdcc783b5015a7f13fcb9a72687df1.jpg

He was one of my wife’s heartthrobs back in the day so she was devastated to see how he looks now

Well he's still a great actor and a millionaire. So he's done well for himself.

Well, his face looks better than his 72-year old body probably does - and you're right, he was very handsome. At 72 he may well have a cantankerous prostate, vicious varicose veins, a stent or two in his aorta, a flabby posterior and ingrowing toenails. Mind you, it beats sharing the fate of the members of the 27 club: Jimi Hendrix, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, Jim Morroison, all rock'n'roll superstars of the 60s who died aged 27.

If there's two things I hate on a forum, someone posting a dictionary definition is both of them. Especially someone being overly pretentious in their use of language. You just sound stooopid.

There's nothing wrong with a dictionary, which could, for example, guide you to the grammatically correct "there ARE two things I hate" rather than your preferred but embarrassingly incorrect version "there's two things...." There ain't, ya know.

As for being pretentious, you are the working class hero archetype, belittling educaton in others, decrying literacy and rejecting anything you are too dimwtted to appreciate, rejecting it with the squawk of a disillusioned and resentful underachiever.
As for your preposterous dismissal of dictioary definitions, clearly its use was called for, as I doubt that you would have taken my word for it instead.

A for my sounding stooopid to you, I can live with it.

I come on here to chat with people I like and to a certain extent, some I don't. It's supposed to be fun. No one spell-checks or grammar checks (or you might have spotted your own misspelling of the words 'education' and 'dictionary' or known that dim-witted is hyphenated and not one word; and that's just a couple of your howlers). If you're going to haul someone over the coals for their English skills you'd better be precise yourself or it's just yet another case of you looking stooopid.

I do agree with you btw that his face is like something out of a Horror Movie.

With all due respect to Mickey.
