Why £400,000 to a complete nobody

Bet only about 10 people in the country have ever heard of her

She has a combined social media following of 80 million people. She’s not a nobody.

How many in THIS country ( ie the viewers) will have heard of her though

More people know about Trisha though, so that's kinda messed up she didn't get paid more...

I saw her live last year in a packed field of 30,000 people for starters.

And the fact that Jojo bows were EVERYWHERE in the late 2010’s, she was a massive massive star for kids imo, and still is really famous, just not to you, and that’s fine, how many people under 30 know Daley Thompson, Mickey Rourke or Chesney Hawkes?

Mickey Rourke is definitely better known to the older generation.

Sorry to Chesney but he would have got no more than 10k from me :joker:

A fair few.

It’s pretty ignorant of you to assume no one knows her just because you don’t.

She has a massive following.

Completely, not denying that at all, but it’s all generational, there’s someone for everyone :)

Mickey doing CBB at all is a total curveball. He's Oscar nominated, won a BAFTA, and is an absolute film legend.

She's one of the bigger names in the line-up tbf.

I'm surprised that the Show was able to get her tbh.

As someone that is under 30.

I knew of Chesney and Daley.

Tbh I didn't know much about Mickey before the Show.

I’m also under 30 and know them both (in fact the only person I didn’t know this series was Ella), however they’re not targeted at the average under 30 as such.

Especially given the target audience for this is the same age range that know JoJo very well, I think it’s a cracking casting.

I suppose the exposure is worth more than the fee to Chesney especially if he's promoting an album atm

Yeah, can see him being a massive fence sitter throughout, breezing to the final and finishing 4th or 5th. He'll 100% have been briefed and instructed by his record labels PR team to not say anything risky, keep quiet on most things, and just try to be funny and likeable.

Im not overly keen on him tbh, but who knows, early days yet.

Only £25k for Chesney - that's insane. He's doing for nothing, A spit in the eye for him.

Complete BS. She'll be lucky to have 200,000 followers. All her followers fake numbers.

And the only reason you're beleiving it, Glenn, is you're believing that rubbish.

No proof I bet.

She's be lucky to get £5k off me.

Also, Chesney gets free publicity for his album that is out, the only reason he is in there for a number 1 album

Not chris being paid more than Ella?

I do not think hes a big enough name for 45k lol not everybody watches Love Island, he should've been paid the same as Ella

This sums it up pretty well tbh. Most people under 30 will be aware of Jojo Siwa, and a large number under 40.

It reminds me of when people were convinced that "no one had any idea who" Charlotte Crosby was. And people were baffled when Scotty T won. Because they had absolutely no idea what sort of following they were going in with.

Maybe it's just the edit though tbf.

She's a singer. Recently made it big.
I actually quite like her despite what happened.
She's still young, but seems like a decent person.

Well again Music is one of my obsessions.. currently ( last few years) going through a pop phase to help keep my moods uplifted.

Never heard any of her songs or seen any videos or heard any clips as backing on TikTok

Well I only one song.
But she's apparently bit with the younger audience.
At the launch she got a brilliant reception.

A lot of the younger audience will never have heard of Mickey Rourke though, despite his background in acting. Just because someone hasn't heard of them, doesn't diminish their achievements or following, it's all demographic based

Yeah, I've heard his name once or twice in my life but I had no idea who he was or what he was famous for, could have been a gymnast for all I knew.

25k for a max of 3 weeks sitting in a house drinking tea and chatting, isn't a bad gig

Exactly and that publicity is worth a lot more to him to kick start his music career again
