View Full Version : So bored of Trisha already

I am not sure I can stand weeks of her saintly house moderator schtick. I get it, she had cancer, I am glad that she beat it, but it doesn't make you into some divine earth mother.
Imagine having your own room in that house and STILL complaining about the noise in the other room.
Boring HMs are to be expected but it becomes a problem when everyone else is so nervous of being seen to upset them that they make the house around them more boring as well.

mmm she hasn't beaten cancer, it has returned and she is now terminal. I think she is very pragmatic, I hope she doesn't fall into the chat show interviewer role though, that said I like that she said it to Danny directly rather than whispering about it behind his back

ahh, I did miss that bit, I will be honest. That's sad for her, yeah.
But the point remains about the rest of it. She just has this aura of 'keep it calm and let's have a discussion'.
I don't wish her harm, I just find her really boring.

tbf the only one so far who has done or said anything of note is Mickey, the rest are just wall paper  Early days
Looking forward to the first task and how Mickey gets on with it
She's not as bad as *checks notes* Chris Hughes, re: the gratingly enthusiastic diplomacy spiel.
As far as the private bedroom, yeah it's a teensy bit annoying, but the fact is that BB is way past the point where it was considered must-see tv. So they're scraping the bottom of the barrel for celebs most of the time nowadays, and can't afford to turn down the demands of the likes of Trisha, especially when she's terminal and almost certainly doesn't think fifteen minutes in the BB house is worth any extra amount of stress or pain lol.

I took that as her trying to emphasize just how loud Danny is, not that the Big Brother house is made out of thin fiberboard. Which it probably is.
To your third paragraph, I agree it will be painful to watch if it leads to too much self-censorship but I don't reckon it'll be as bad as the recent civy where everyone was on eggshells for most of the show...
Fwiw, I like Trisha and how she thinks in general. If it doesn't go overboard I can see her being my fast fave. I am not really a fan of talk show personas but she does seem to at least has a personality well outside of that. I just hope it doesn't become as you say, her becoming some kind of busybody most of the time she is in... that would have to annoy her HMs at some point because she does have a private space she can escape to. (Good for her with her current health)
…as her diagnosis is terminal, I think that it shows her interest in people that she wants to spend this precious time in the house ….it’s kind of reflective of who she is, isn’t it…and I do think that she’s a natural mother type personality…I like to see her in there, I love to see her doing something that she obviously really wants to do and doing it for herself and saying **** you, cancer…I can do this…!!!!!!….

Yes I think her interest in people is genuine
Yes I think her interest in people is genuine
…(…I think…)…that’s also why she mentions it a lot about people she’s met…not so much name dropping but more just how much joy and pleasure she’s had in meeting and chatting with so many varied and interesting people etc…I like to see that, tbh…

I like Trisha and greatly admire her determination in going into the house whitstill ill and having treatment too.
I wasn't however impressed with while having her own space and room, that she'd even mention noise from others elsewhere in the house.
She has watched the show, she has been on the spin off shows
She knows what it's like in there.
However I'll not make too much of that at the present time.
I do also though take Cherie's point, on her original show presenting history.
It isn't a Trisha debate show, so I hope it isn't attempted to make it more like they were.
I hope she does well in the series and it's so sad she has this detestable illness.

That said, I cannot lie. I find her as a person to be forever bragging, patronising and very boring.

Yeah, exactly.
And because others are walking on eggshells in there around her they are being muted as well.
Also, just want to say, this forum is actually really good for the way that it has and allows a wide range of opinions. We have Hardcore wokeys rubbing shoulders with traditional hardline conservatives (small c) and all in between and it's all fine as long as you don't attack other members personally. It's why I even come here... It's far better than the leftist echo chambers that most platforms are :)

It's the fact she has cancer and has her own bedroom, and has been sort of elevated as some sort of chat show queen, she's become untouchable. I vaguely remember her TV chat show and it was always bottom of anyone's list to watch.
Most people went with Jerry Springer and even Vanessa for Gawd's sake.
I think Trisha is gonna find it very easy to sail to the final, simply because no one in there wants to be the **** to nominate someone with cancer.

I feel the same way…I feel bad disliking her but I never have and she hasn’t changed imo.
i do think people need to understand the difference between the celeb and normal versions. Celebs arent competing for a cash prize, they have their fee. It doesnt matter if they stay or get evicted. If they do coast to the final and aren't doing anything, they wont be in the highlights, so it self regulates

Yes, you are. No predictable jokers laughing in the world can alter that fact!
I will say it one last time for you - It's awful Trisha has terminal cancer, it's an evil disease that i wouldn't wish on anyone (bar pedo gangs, and those who find joy in killing others, and animals). However, i feel Trisha is a bit up herself in the house. Jack mentioned he met Muhammad Ali , and instead of being remotely interested, she said "yeah well i met Mandela when he first got out of jail and he kissed my baby". She's in a separate room, yet told Danny he was too loud. She's entitled imo, and bit too smug. I was never a fan of her back in the day either fwiw.
In saying all that, i wish her nothing but the best in life, and i hope she continues to fight this evil cancer, and hopefully has many years left.
I fully expect you to use all your votes to save her when up, and if she makes the final, all your votes shall go on her to win, yes? Otherwise Glenn, that would be twisted if you didn't

I don't want to be too mean about Trisha.
But I definitely got this vibe with her reason to nominate Fabricant, as she basically disliked the fact that he is able to chat more than she can.
Basically he is "stealing the limelight" in her eyes.

Tbf, whilst I don't agree with it (I personally like people to do well on merit alone,) I still can at least understand if the public were to give her a high placing on the Show.
Because unlike other patronizing sympathy votes over the years, this will probably be one of the last major things that Trisha will ever be apart of before she passes away.
Even I struggle to begrudge her having a good time in the house as a big send off for her.
