Can anyone confirm?

I don't think a transplant would look like that? I think it's a wig but probably a very expensive one

It doesn’t even look like an expensive wig

I think I've said this before but it reminds me of Chelsea Singh. Didn't he have to do a mohawk at one point? which I guess proved it wasn't a wig or intricate combover.

For a moment I thought this was about Letitia Dean.

It's my Mop that he broke before going into the house.
…I don’t know, it’s very wig-ish/wig-like but he obviously has a huge sensitivity and it’s not something he can brush off easily, hence the nomination for Patsy in questioning him about it…I feel for him, it’s obviously something that causes him anxieties when mentioned and that he isn’t at any type of peace with….
…vote to save him is the only answer to this…!!!!!!…

Thankfully, i got over being bald very quickly
My old Dad used to say, grass doesn't grow on a busy road
It's obviously fake, and he is very aware that someone may hug him the wrong way and it falls off.
Here is a question, which is worse

Yes! Just shave your head, it looks fine, trying to hide it or cover it up just makes things worse
I'm going to say Comb Over has to be the worst

He would probably be way more comfortable with a proper toupee or a glued on hair system but it would take a lot of courage to address people bringing up the (good) difference. I wonder if he'll actually talk about it in the house. It can't be healthy to be sleeping in a wig for a month either if he stays in!

He is clearly self-conscious about it. It's clearly 'a thing' with him. Patsy was clumsy and stupid to bring it up in a crowd of people but then people can be clumsy and stupid.
I agree the best thing to do is shave your had, I don't mind a bald head... it's masculine in a way a wig could never be.

Whatever it is, Michael Fabricant wouldn't really look right without it.
It's all I've ever seen as to him.
IF he needs it and it gives him more confidence good luck to him.
It was insensitive of Patsy to be so blunt about it.
Then again the BB house does play with emotions, personalities and how you'd normally react yourself or towards others too.

I don't know what it is, but something tells me Michael isn't all that concerned with projecting masculinity. Just an inkling, I could be wrong. I'd imagine she just assumed that he'd be okay talking about it because of how so obviously false it is. There's not exactly an effort to have it look... realistic lol. It's completely ott and maximalist in the same vein that Andy Warhol's wig was lol. That's how I can best put myself into Patsy's mindset to try and justify her faux pas there.

Has there actually been any images of him at night? He can't sleep in it if it's a wig, right?
I mean, we haven't seen much in the way of late night shenanigans in general I guess, thinking about it.
I wonder if he has a deal to not be shown without it as part of his contract.

…and he still chooses to wear it so that in itself really shows his sensitivity maybe in any hair loss he might have…?…he obviously feel much more confident with than he would feel without…male hair loss is a huge confidence thing for some and not so much for others…I can’t imagine Michael without his hair, it’s a part of him …
…I wouldn’t say that it would be about what others feel about baldness or hhis hair loss or lack of it…I recall Burt Reynolds always wearing a wig for himself…because he didn’t feel confident in any other way…?…I’m thinking for Michael it’ll be similar, he wears his hair with pride as they say, for his own self…

I recall him saying he wanted to get a very expensive wig but in the end bought the cheapest one he could find
He said he was not bothered as it was a small price toupee

…I was thinking that as well, I think it was mentioned in the thread about sleeping it…does he do that, then…?…maybe he goes to bed bald every evening and then wakes up with that full crowning Fabricant hair because it grows so quickly in his sleep every night/regrowing…we didn’t think of that possibility…

Whereas I think she one of those in-your-face people who, say, as a teenager you had a big spot and you had tried your best to conceal it, in front of everyone she'd say "you've got a big spot in your face!". One of those who think they're open and honest because they blurt out every half-baked idea that pops into their head without ever engaging the clutch of tact.

Indeed. The casting director at EastEnders must have really seen something in her.

Maybe he wears a hairnet or a bonnet to bed. :hehe:

Now I need to see it. You've both painted such a vivid picture in my imagination now. I need to see Fabricant in that bonnet at least once before he leaves the house. :worry:

…I did have a little sneaky peek for a Livefeed vid, which Baz used to post for us last time…but I’d forgotten that they’re just stills/audio only and the only …honestly we are wig creeps…
…if ray is ever going to see him in that bonnet…vote Michael to stay…!!!!!!!!…for the love of Ray…!!!!!!!!….see, if he goes this evening, Ray….thats it, never a bonnet will you see…

I can imagine him rising up out of bed in the witching hour while everyone else is dead to the world, and taking it off, just to get some air in. As Ann Widdecombe once remarked about another Tory named Michael, there's something of the night about him.

…there wasn’t nearly so many strands of hair on that wig when he first went in…he’s sucking the hair out of the housemates at night and seeing it all onto his wig as it gets thicker and thicker…?…eventually his hair will have super powers…

You could see Michael was embarrassed when faced with the quesiton 'why the wig?'
Which begs the question, 'why the OBVIOUS wig'? Hair replacement these days is fantastic. The toupees some guys wear today are undetectable. I've seen them on YouTube. It's only when you see the before and after you go, wow.
So Michael, is obviously bald as a billard ball, doesn't like bing bald, but why make his wig so obvious????????????? I mean you could have a neon sign on top of his head, saying 'ALERT!!!! BALD MAN WEARING A BAD WIG' probably is the same as what he is doing now without the neon sign.
