I dont think it was just the Broccoli....he first generalised about her cooking. It seems she has done most of the cooking and cooking for 12 people each day then getting a comment thrown at you like that would naturally be upsetting.

I think it was a bit clumsy but Michael did bring up his hair first and it wouldn't have occured to me that he was that sensitive about being asked about it because his hair is pretty much his defining feature. Fair enough though he said he didn't like talking about it so that's lesson learned
