View Full Version : Who will rise up?

It's obvious that Mickey hard carried week 1. He was the catalyst for almost everything interesting or fun that happened.

I can't see who will step into that spot... Everyone else is so hyper aware of coming across well and not upsetting the Reddit/ X mob that I can't see where the fun/ drama will come from.

Will it be just two weeks of secret missions as the producers try and pump life into the show?

Or can you see new stars emerging now that Mickey isn't taking up all the room?

They better step up or this series will die a slow death.

…we’ll see…out of big ejections, little acorns can rise…

BB is an ensemble show. Now it can properly start.

Even Jack might make an appearance.

I hope the tasks will improve, almost a full week and one task that was pretty half hearted, now that Mickey has gone they need to get on with those tasks that bring out the worst in people, dress them up in some ridiculous outfits and make them look foolish....come on BB

The task looks fun. I will enjoy that.

…to be fair, we do say that every time a big character leaves the house for whatever reason…but it rarely happens, it just leads a path for other drama focuses …just different ones…and on a whole I don’t like a season to be ‘The (insert housemate name) Show’ because it doesn’t give either us or the housemates fairness…so this could lead and open up for some interesting dynamics…we’ll see, as they say…

Yeah there are still people in there that I like. Danny and Jack I'm hoping will step up

In a civilian show I wouldn't ask it because I do agree with you, but CBB with it's much shorter run and with this year's super cautious cast I think it's different.

Everyone is working really hard to come across as extra nice and I am not sure there is time remaining to crack that.

Hopefully I am wrong though. I would be 100% ok with that.

the first task was tragic, all it did was create a race row out of nothing

I think Trisha or Patsy may snap

Now the main annoyance of theirs is gone they will all start to notice things they find annoying about others which they’d first overlooked due to distraction.

…yeah, I’m trying to keep positive that there’s still some shining light for my beloved show …but so far, it’s looking a bit bleak, isn’t it…so much of what BB has become or is becoming is so restrictive that it just starts to look less and less of what we’ve loved from back in the day…

I thinks she lost without a showmance.

Sadly I reckon it will turn into the Jo Jo show and she will be even louder , more energetic , more irritating ( and obnoxious) .

I will watch tonight’s programme then probably call it a day ..

Only Jack and Danny / Fanny ( [emoji3] ) interest me .. I love Daley but he will get even quieter now his mate Mickey has gone

Agree. It's hard to see what else she has to offer.

As much as I disliked Ekin-Su last year, at least she brought meltdowns.

yeah

You are right though, it all could flip again tomorrow. Positivity!

This cast has a very vanilla vibe to me in terms of their behavior more so than past series so I'm not very hopeful the self-censorship won't now get way out of control with the hugbox running the house. And then there's the tendency to have collective sob stories where people sigh at each other and cry at the drop of a pin. Will anyone be able to take a sh** without checking in with the other person?

Watching Danny give himself a struggle session because he dared to think differently than others was just painful viewing.

I think it says something that very few people (if even any) have even bothered to go to the trouble of going to their profile and selecting a favourite HM for this series. Usually by this point I've done it. But if things carry on the way they have been, this might be the first series since I signed up where I just can't even be bothered picking one.

I'm hoping that one of the women will become a strong villainess in the year.

They do seem to be the more dysfunctional half of the house now that Mickey is gone.

Did you almost mean to say "strong woman", Mock? Because we've never had one of those.

Exactly! I was thinking this today that I hadn't bothered to join any fanclubs of late and I usually join a few after getting to know the HMs. I think I joined one based on launch and I don't even remember who it was.

How many fanclubs are there even? I've only seen a few that seem active.

Lol, tbf Ella has strength with her tears.:joker:

And Donna could be a WWE performer.

So fingers crossed.:fc:

the tasks have been 100% cringe. It's obviously got heavy producer direction/influence. There is nothing in any of the interactions (excluding Mickey) that looks natural. It all looks fake and forced. It was blatantly obvious to me in last nights show.

I don't mind getting invested in something that is genuine, but this just isn't

It's always the same, been like it for years where certain people get all the air time, last week it was Mickey, now it's those two knobs.
