On a plane, which do you prefer?

Always window

I used to like the aisle but with a baby you can only go by the window so that's my new default. Anyone who picks middle is crazy!

I usually sit in the middle seat if I'm travelling with Gav, he leans against the window and I lean against him. If I was on my own I like an aisle seat, it feels less claustrophobic if I'm sitting next to strangers

If travelling on my own aisle as I dont like being trapped by strangers, if with family middle as I can lean two ways

I voted Aisle because that's what I'd choose on my own

I am not a good flyer and have never been to the bathroom on a plane even when flying to America etc so prefer window seat, that way I can put ny seat belt on and not have to move until we land
Always window
Agreed. :hee:
It's cozy and the other occupants can serve as a human shield in the event that the terrorists take the plane.

I don't really like flying so I don't care, I won't enjoy it any which way so I'd leave the choice to someone who'd appreciate it

 a perk I never realised!
Always the aisle. First to the food and drink, first off the plane, first to the overhead compartment, easiest to the loo and you can stretch your legs into the aisle. It's the little things that make the difference
Aisle seat. Im a nervous fidgeter. I just feel more freedom in the aisle.
I hate the aisle - always having to get up to let people out, constant disturbance from people walking past you, then when you land people expect you to be standing up immediately even though there's zero point
Window is great, I don't think I'd ever get bored of seeing the landscape from the air

I'd say aisle because I go to the toilet a lot and I'd be so embarrassed to keep walking past someone
…always aisle if I can as it makes me feel less claustrophobic/closed in…

Window even though I close my eyes and grip my chair during lift off

I absolutely love the take off … it reminds me of when I set off from traffic lights ..
Its the landing that bothers me …. especially when you get bad turbulence and you THINK you’ve landed but soon realise you are still thousands of feet in the air
Always sit near the back as research shows planes never REVERSE into mountains
Does anyone ever look at who's alongside you in the poll results and think to yourself that these are the people you'd be allied with if civil war erupted over the issue?

Vicky would lead our charge for the window warriors, she’s feisty.

Yeah but if it flew into a mountain and you survive you could have to eat your fellow survivors to stay alive:laugh:
I prefer landing to taking off as I look at the ground coming closer and think "I reckon I could jump from this height and survive" My brother is a Captain for BA and says that landing is FAR more dangerous than taking off though

Not really bothered but if anything I prefer the window-seat.
Window. With both eyes glued to the wings and engines.

Oddly enough when I was a youngster I believed that if we were on a ship and it went down I’d just jump overboard and swim to safety

Me too.....I always said I would prefer to sail as I can swim and not fly
