Why did she react the way she did to her best bits, it seemed overly dramatic. That said I do really like her

She's groomed to perform and animate herself more before others, but I do think she is quite pleased.

And so what if she was tbf?

Is the OP seriously trying to tell me that it's okay to dislike a Housemate for feeling upset at not winning?

Chris did seem upset tbf.

He strikes me as a competitive guy tbh, and I personally don't think that there's anything wrong with that.

Americans are overly dramatic as a culture imo.

I don't mean that as a diss, but the UK and US are very different culturally to each other, it's why they always come across as more "quirky" on our Reality Shows.

That was certainly true traditionally, especially for the youth who used to lead in that characteristic, but I think even the youth now have reeled it in some in recent years in general life. At least compared to traditionally. It's harder to get a young person to smile now or engage in banter. So I think their end of culture seems to be going a more stoic direction. Actual media hasn't caught wind of this trend yet, but then our media is known to blow everything out of proportion, not just our culture... sometimes it seems like melancholy, but it's just how a lot of young people are now. They're also much more cautious now.

Tbh that's a lot of people nowadays.

Irl I find it hard to tell if I really like someone's personality when I am interacting with them, because they're clearly scared that I'm going to be offended by them if they say something a little off-beat.

It's why I love the Internet nowadays, because people do behave more unfiltered.

Young people these days have no social skills. Many show no respect and their attitudes stink of self entitlement.
This is all because of mobile phones and the internet/social media. You go in to a restaurant these days and most people have their mobiles next to them or glued to them. No interaction, no conversation...its really really sad.

That one I agree with - I don't think he expected to win, but I don't think he expected to be the first "finalist" out, I think he was expecting top 4 at least.

Oh yes, it's happening everywhere, but the youth are the most effected I think because they had more information before hand than the rest of us did. Some of us are still going through "deprogramming". I mean, many in my gen thought we were would be flying around in mini space cars like in the Jetson's by now... harder to imagine the limits and other obstacles that you and modern society will face when your childhood is spent being preached about unlimited possibilities...

I'm in the minority maybe but I think we're moving back towards sanity and more relaxed times. It certainly feels like it in this part of the US.

I think we've finally adapted to the internet, or at least have a framework for how to best integrate it into our culture. We'll never fully turdwrangle it, but as an outlet for people's sillies and not sillies, it now serves an important function in our society whether we like it or not.
