[Cyber criminals have told BBC News
their hack against Co-op is
far more serious than the company
previously admitted.

Hackers contacted the BBC with proof
they had infiltrated IT networks and stolen huge
amounts of customer and employee data.

After being approached on Friday,
a Co-op spokesperson said the hackers
"accessed data relating to
a significant number of our current
and past members".

Co-op had previously said that it had
taken "proactive measures"
to fend off hackers and that
it was only having a "small impact"
on its operations.
It also assured the public that there
was "no evidence that customer data
was compromised".
The cyber criminals claim to have the
private information of 20 million people
who signed up to Co-op's membership scheme,
but the firm would not confirm that number.

The criminals, who are using
the name DragonForce, say they are
also responsible for the ongoing attack
on M&S and an attempted hack of Harrods.

The attacks have led government minister
Pat McFadden to warn companies to
"treat cyber security as an absolute priority".]

This is why many will not give data
to get a loyalty card.

Yeah... those things are actually bad for you. Doing your banking etc. wholly online is fraught with problems and dangers.

Eggs don’t raise cholesterol to dangerous levels :

Eggs do not typically cause high cholesterol for most people. While eggs are high in dietary cholesterol, the cholesterol in eggs does not have a significant impact on blood cholesterol levels. In fact, research suggests that eating eggs, even up to one per day, does not increase heart disease risk in healthy individuals.

Eating fat or fatty foods doesn’t make you fat or fatter … its sugar / sugars and carbohydrates that are converted and stored as fats in our bodies

It’s not too long ago that the BBC series Sugar Free Farm were recommending we all cooked/ fried food in lard or beef dripping

Sooooo carbohydrates (including sugars) can be converted into fat for storage when the body doesn't need them for immediate energy or when it's already stored its maximum amount of glycogen (the storage form of glucose).
This process, called lipogenesis, involves the liver converting glucose into fatty acids, which are then stored in fat cells.

As regards salt .. I can’t recall hearing of anyone who’s been told to cut out salt altogether when it was commonplace decades ago

In fact one of my closest friends had a triple bipass 6 years ago and now needs a further operation on two arteries - nobody has EVER mentioned anything about salt to him
