A hard drive found at a disused factory bought by the prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann investigation contains evidence she is dead, it has been claimed.

German prosecutors believe Christian Brueckner killed the three-year-old after she vanished during a family holiday in Praia De Luz, Portugal, in 2007.

The drive was discovered in 2016 at a disused factory which Brueckner bought for £20,000 in 2008, according to The Sun.

Investigators also found an insurance document which proves the suspect was at a music festival where he is said to have confessed to killing Madeleine.

Witness Helge B claims Brueckner told him she “didn’t scream” but questions about his credibility have always remained.

Children’s clothes and toys were said to have been located at the abandoned property alongside masks, chemicals and guns.

German police also discovered six USB sticks and two memory cards in a wallet. The evidence was detected by a dog in 2016.

In one, the suspect described drugging a mother and daughter outside a nursery school, while another spoke of abusing a four-year-old girl.

Skype conversations with other paedophiles were also discovered, including one where he said he wanted to “capture something small and use it for days”.

Child abuse images of four and five-year-old girls were also said to have been found during the searches, and police unearthed more than 75 swimming costumes, alongside toys and small bikes.

A Sat Nav also showed Brueckner had been in the Algarve in the years after Madeleine disappeared.

The claims will air in full in a Channel 4 documentary on Wednesday night.

Representatives of Brueckner were contacted for comment.

The people still convinced Kate & Gerry did it are nuts.

Maybe everyone will apologise profusely to her parents for suggesting that they had murdered her !!!

I’d like to see every single person hunted down and prosecuted !!!

They compounded the absolute horror that her parents had to endure

Don't be ridiculous, people are allowed to have theories on open cases, especially where the parents just left three young children alone at night while they went out drinking with their friends.

It’s not a misleading thread title when it addresses completely what the article contains?

I think prosecution is a bit far we do have a right to a freedom of speech. However I think a lot of people were led down the wrong path by the Portuguese police who were convinced the parents did it straight away as well as the shaky science behind the sniffer dogs and Kate following legal advice to remain silent when very leading questions were put her way by detectives.

They had no involvement in the disappearance of their daughter. Should they have left the children unattended to go out socialising? Absolutely not. But they pay for that error every single day.

Sorry can i ask, if the Drive was found in 2016 with evidence on it that he kidnapped Madeleine - that's 9 years ago - why wouldn't he have been arrested ages ago or some sort of proper announcement been made? he's not been arrested or charged with this yet has he? but they apparently have this drive for the last 9 years?

I just realized you can't spell Dammit without spelling Ammi... it's right in the middle too. (Ooh, Symmetry)

I hope this is the real deal and closure is finally found for the family. Poor girl didn't deserve this. But just being honest, it doesn't effect anyone else really... we get some temporary peace for our society that gives a sense justice is being done but how many cases go cold never looked at again? I feel sad for all those unknowns...

Same .. possibly due to that recent, awful woman who came forward claiming to be Maddie ??

I also think of her parents fairly often and my heart sinks thinking of their loss and all the unnecessary hatred thrown at them to this day

It was utterly heartbreaking to think what some of these people, little girls especially went through. Couldn't sleep at all last night, the details were stuck in my head.

Yeah, I'm not seeing anything new really, surely if they had definite evidence the guy would be being charged by now? I haven't watched this Documentary but I don't think they have anything specifically linking Madeleine to this guy?

One of the guys/suspects who is in prison supposedly said to a "friend" that Madeleine "didn't scream" after being asked how you abduct a child without anybody noticing, that was about it.

But i would recommend anyone against watching this, some of the details they go into, and some of the stuff written by these murdering paedophiles is horrific. The narration even says they can't share every detail as it's too graphic, yet what was said was bad enough. What these little girls go through is beyond comprehension.

That means absolutely zero, you can't exactly trust the words of people in prison.

I will take that advise though, I wouldn't have the stomach for that at all
