The chose their name after being inspired by a line in the BBC TV drama The Singing Detective in which the character Philip Marlow describes the word 'elbow' as the loveliest word in the English language.

Horses for courses - I, like millions, will never understand the adoration for him but I totally respect those who feel that way, I just personally find him pretty annoying and arrogant.

I liked Coldplay's first album a lot but other than The Scientist, I have not been a fan of any their later offerings.

I know a lot of people who went to the concert at the Etihad recently who said it was the best gig they had ever been to but they're just not for me. :shrug:

You know he’s extremely shy and introverted .. he was forced to be the spokesperson as the other three are even more shy !!??

He’s awkward and nervous whilst being interviewed.. just comes alive on stage

.. I also loved their first album .. possibly more than the others though I fell back in love with them when they released the slower back to basics Ghost Stories about 10 years ago
