…just to use this health and beauty section and also because I think that Smithy did a similar thread once but that’s a while ago so maybe time for an update…?…what are your go to moisturisers…day creams/night creams and all round skin products of choice…?….
…(…well it could have been a thread about Crocs and socks so….)….

I use Aveeno Moisturiser myself, more specifically the soothing Triple Oat Complex & Shea Butter. It’s a bit pricey but I’ve found it to be really good and a little bit of it goes a long way so in some ways it’s good value for money.
I apply it to my face every morning and it does leave my skin looking healthier. I also sometimes use coconut oil during the winter months (just the cheap one in the little tub from Superdrug).

I use Heliocare 360 SPF 50 and then a bog standard serum and face cream from Aldi or whatever is on offer

I just don’t want to put more chemicals on my face that’s not body wash.

…oh I haven’t tried that body oil, I’ll look out for it…Aveeno in general are excellent products, I think….

….ahhhh, I do completely understand…there are many products that only contain natural ingredients but you absolutely need to feel comfortable in applying anything to your skin…as a by the by, there is an app that I have…I’m always telling others about it also…..anyway, it’s called Yuka…I don’t know if you’re familiar with it…?…but you can use it to scan foods and beauty/skin/cosmetic products and it will let you know which are good ones and which are bad ones in terms of toxins and additives etc…I don’t use it so much now just because I tend to buy and use/eat things that I’ve already scanned in the past and know are ok…but it used to be something that I used all of the time while checking out products…anyway, I don’t know if it’s something that you’ll find useful, Barry…

…yeah it’s a free app and if you’re ever not sure of any food products or anything that you’re thinking of putting on your skin etc…?…just scan the item barcode and it will give you a traffic light type rating of the benefits or negatives …and it isn’t sponsored by any products so it’s a really excellent guide…

I use Bulldog. I have a clear face wash as well as a thick black charcoal wash, moisturiser too. I have trouble with dry skin and red blemishes and it’s sorted me right out. Really good.

…it’s a lovely feeling when you find something that’s perfectly compatible for your skin type and then the most annoying thing if it ever discontinues and it’s a process of trial to find something else…I’ve had that with products also…but I’m glad you’ve found a lovely skincare for you……

Be careful....ammi told me about it and it made all my shopping trips 3x longer as I scanned everything

….…yeah, it does at the beginning I have to say but I was also really staggered at how toxic some of my regular products were, there are far more ‘danger’ buys than we realise, aren't there..but it is only for a limited time I found, while I adjusted my process of buying to the known good ones…now actually I rarely use the app unless I’m trying out a completely new food/skincare product…

Yeah. I'm the same. I always check new products but rarely use it for anything else now
