Just like there’s a general-daily-life parallel to this thread (‘little things that irritate you,’ which I’ve had a hell of a lot to say regarding, obviously), what are your pet peeves about behaviour in pubs?

I’ve got two straight-up. Parents bringing in their hyperactive, annoying kids who run around eating Pringles off the floor (it’s alright when the kids are relatively quiet and well-behaved) and lads/younger men treating the pub like it’s their petri-dish for the sneeze-drip, loud snorting, wind-pass and spittle. It’s gross. Nothing wrong with a bit of liveliness but certainly not like that.
Dogs running around in the beer-garden and going up to people and their owners enabling it (dogs will be dogs/(s)he’s alright; doesn’t bite), not respecting that basic boundary of knowing that not everyone’s comfortable with random dogs all-up in their space. is another irritant, but that only happens once every so-often for me. I can overlook that.

The general atmosphere of stickiness in ’spoons (Wetherspoons). Decent-enough pub overall but it feels like the aura sticks to the carpet and makes everything you touch, especially the further upstairs you go., feel greasy. It needs like, I dunno, a de-humidifier.

I meant stinky sewer smelling downstairs toilets.

Some barmaids are ok, of you can soften the rough edges
