Charley did have a point. Brian never meet Emily and was basing his opinion on what other people have told him. Charley never did shout however she did over react and she did patronise Brian and put him down. She could have come out of that looking good but she reacted the only way Charley knows how to react.

No doubt in my mind, Brian started it. She was just explaining to him what she thought of Emily. But Brian went off. He was upset way before that, Liam and Carole were just mentioning, that he keeps it bottled in, waiting to explode!

If Charleys point was right, then what gives us all the right to diss BB housemates?
What gives you the right to say you dont like Chanelle.
What gives me the right to say I dont like Charley?
I think her point was absolutely pathetic.

Oh, and I suppose Charley never does that!
As soon as the nominations and her brown-nosing have passed, she's like a bull in a china shop.

Because we watch them. Brian never watched the show as he was in hiding previous to entering the house - he is basing his opinion on what others have told him.

But he was obviously offended by the word, and Charley was basically telling him 'you cant be offended by that word because Emily was my friend'
He looked upset by it and upset by the arguement and Charley was trying to control his feelings, which imo is 100% wrong.

In all honesty, I think I'd need a transcript to decide, because most of it was garbled in all of the noise. I think she flipped with Brian for little if any reason, probably because she was p'd off about her role in the task and wanted to vent her frustrations on someone. But after that, it was too noisy to keep track. I missed the start of it thanks to a bizarre flip flop accident, too. Perhaps Charley had a point in saying that Brian shouldn't judge someone he'd never met (although I don't know if he actually did or not), but equally Chanelle was right in saying that he was entitled to find the incident itself offensive, whether he was present or not. Meh, in trying not to skirt the big issues, I'm doing exactly that because I missed some of it. :bored:

I understand that he could have been offended but i don't personally think he should form on opinion on what people have told him, especially people who would be clearly biased. Charley was in the right, up until the point when she got up and started to patronise Brian.
I just want to make it clear that i support Brian and that I'm not a huge fan of either Emily or Charley.

Brian! **** Charley! She crossed the line tonight.
Brian all the way. He's stuck by her and always supported her and she threw it back in his face. Don't think she can ever change either, she's a nasty person.

All Brian did at the start was state he wouldn't want to live with Emily, mainly because of her using that word which is fair enough in my eyes and he's entitled to that view, maybe Charley did have a point about not judging her on just what he's heard but his reasoning was very understandable. She just could not live with that and kept on goading him in a very patronising and frankly nasty manner, there was no need for her to keep going on at him and I felt he had every right to argue back with her, rather than just be let her get away with it.
Brian is someone who's stood by her when others haven't and she just threw it back in his face by acting the way she did towards him.

I'm on no-one's side, but let's get things into perspective. Brian heard some things on the grapevine about Emily and made a decision that he "wouldn't want to live with her". Brian displayed ignorance and intolerance. Charley reacted by trying to enlighten him to his mistake. The drama, of course, is where people get confused into thinking it's Charley's fault, as usual.

^^ agreed.... just because Brian didnt know Emily it dosent mean he cant have an opinion on her... especially if she used the racist word.... but Charley seems to think its only about her

charley's an idiot she's the one who made a fuss over emily saying that word in the first place, now she's making out like brian can't have a say. she had no problem saying she hates robbie williams and other celebs(which i heard her say) when she doesn't know them.
Brian, He's so genuine and lovely! When he was upset in the diary room and BB made him better by making him happy was so sweet! He really likes Charley and hated that they both argued.. I just wish Charley would let other people have an opinion.. not every one agrees with each other.. it would be a bloomin boring world if we all did.

don't feel sorry for charley, when she rows with people she makes fun of them and becomes a bully. i wouldn't have had a problem if she had said we agree to disagree, but to make fun of him which is bullying. and i can't stand bullies.
