Funny enough, I don't touch Skittles much now because of the whole red dye thing. But I do like me some Skittles...

Hub is heating up the grill and it's very cloudy and muggy here. We had unexpected heavy rains yesterday so my whole lawn is soggy :spin:

We got some small fireworks. Nothing much. I only wanted sparklers to entertain the child. I'm probably huddling up with my pups because they always come first when there's epic noise pollution.

…I also don’t love Skittles but what I do love is how perfect American Skittles can be in their colours…like the Christmas Skittles gifts are green red and white and the Independence Day ones are blue red and white…:laugh:…you’re a nation of tremendous Skittle thought…:laugh:…

We have this tendency, especially in places where flavor is king, to have an abundance of flavors available for every popular drink/chip/candy that could ever exist. I think it's overrated because to me it all tastes mostly the same (the sweeteners/syrups are so strong they overwhelm any "alternative" flavor), except with the exception of some drinks (Vanilla Coke <3)... but I do appreciate when there's fancy new colors and fruit flavors like with the skittles type candy.... aka Mentos.

We have this tendency, especially in places where flavor is king, to have an abundance of flavors available for every popular drink/chip/candy that could ever exist. I think it's overrated because to me it all tastes mostly the same (the sweeteners/syrups are so strong they overwhelm any "alternative" flavor), except with the exception of some drinks (Vanilla Coke <3)... but I do appreciate when there's fancy new colors and fruit flavors like with the skittles type candy.... aka Mentos.

…I meant to say, orange and green Skittles also for Halloween are some that I’ve been given…and although I don’t eat them, they’re a gift that always feels very special in the thought and presentation that goes into them…:lovedup:…

Yes, a few companies have already said the would shift from using certain dyes in their foods as they can see where the wind is blowing. As they should...
