Yes Madame, off you go

[The group was ordered to dismantle their tents
and move on from the location.
Some enforcement officers appeared to
help them take down their tents]

[Up to 100 migrants were reportedly camped
at the site at one point, with some defiantly saying
they won't go anywhere.

But their presence ignited fury from
exasperated local residents,
who wanted the rough sleepers turfed out.

When MailOnline visited a previous
Mayfair location last year, those living there
insisted they were going nowhere.

'We don't have any
money [to go anywhere else].
We will just stay here until we can find
something,' said someone
from the group - which at the time was
believed to be [B]made up mainly of Bosnians.

The eyesore was just yards from an
Aston Martin showroom and other prestigious
hotels like the Beaumont,
the Hyatt Regency and the Connaught.]

Someone tell them the war's over in Bosnia. Or maybe some of those supportive of these people can open up their homes for them?

Hopefully they are moved somewhere safe.

I support my taxes going towards Government-led initiatives that benefit corners of society that need assistance. It’s not civilians jobs to home migrants, it’s the Governments. I don’t mind making a small contribution to allow it to happen, just like I don’t mind paying for the education of other people’s children, or contributing to benefits that go to those who need them, like the disabled, low income or unemployed.

I think people can support the Govt. housing the homeless without having to personally house them in the same way they can support universal education without having to stand up in front of a group of children and personally teach them.

You would like to think they do now with a roof over their heads, and a toilet to **** in.

Or have they just been moved on? Soon to be seen on a roundabout in Hackney!

Aren’t they all supposed to be living the life of luxury in hotels?

A better life than a family so destitute they can't afford to eat.

A luxury for them would be a meal on a table.. what are we wanting to comparing it to now?

The majority if them are wealthy people, who can't access their money until they get asylum. Until then we are propping up whatever life they are experiencing at the moment. So apart from boredom, they don't really have a worry about eating cause we supplement that. Whilst, let's say young Black teen UK girls with 3 kids struggling to feed her kids is forgotten by the state.

Ah yes, the fabled migrant luxury lifestyle: a tarpaulin palace in Hyde Park, Michelin-starred air sandwiches, and the soothing lullaby of passing traffic. Truly living the dream.

But do go on about their offshore fortunes they can’t touch, sounds totally plausible and not at all like something scraped off the bottom of a Facebook comment section.

I've posted the weed smoker video, admitting he uses his own money to buy weed, he was Iranian. He stated he gets money transferred. Once I saw that I looked into it further. Some do have acces to funds and some don't. It all depends on the country they came from.. research it, I'm not here to prop up your laziness, that would be a step to far.

That puts you in the same league as the cashier at the co op I popped into at half nine tonight, who said "that's the funniest thing I've heard today. I was only telling him about my boss buying us all Ice creams to sooth the heat. We wernt allowed to stop working though to eat them.

You can send me your money directly. We don't need to go through the government, they'll only take a cut for themselves anyway.

How heroic of you that you want to help. Thank you.

…apparently this is the 4th moving on this year so I’m not that it’s a solution for all involved, which is what needs to happen…if a safe permanent place isn’t offered, as you say…it feels as though this will just be a recurring and ongoing issue…

I think all the right-on souls on this thread who care so much about "asylum seekers" who come from a country where the war ended THIRTY YEARS AGO, should be offered the opportunity to give them a room for a while, tide them over. Imagine how much more respect you'd get of you walked the walk AND talked the talk! I would like to see my taxes go toward bundling them on to planes home.

The question is why do they come here to live like this, its one thing to come, have a job and make a life, the UK can't house its own people via social housing so no idea why this lot think they will be housed

where is the housing going to magically appear from  waiting lists are long enough ...send them back and let their own government sort them out

You made this point earlier, but personally I don't think it holds water.

"Maybe those who support tax money going to help Ukraine should go and volunteer over there so they walk the walk and talk the talk"

"Maybe those who support tax money going on military defence should go and fight on the front line so their opinion can be respected"

"Maybe those who support tax money going to toward benefits for disabled people should offer their time as a carer"

"Maybe those who support universal healthcare should volunteer in a hospital"

"Maybe those who support taxes going towards green energy projects should give up their automobile and walk everywhere so they LITERALLY walk the walk and talk the talk"

Supporting tax-funded, Government-led initiatives that help society as a whole doesn't mean you have to actively volunteer your space and time in order for your support to be valid. If I was suggesting they go and live in your home, while not offering up my own, then you may have a point, but I am not.

If you object to your tax money funding support for those not born here that is absolutely fine, that is your right to object to that. It's also fine to disagree with those who don't have an issue with their own taxes funding it. But holding them to a greater standard before having any respect for their opinion is a questionable choice IMO.

Can't we just disagree without being weird about it?

You said you would ignore. You filled me with false hope then let me down. Stop responding to me! You entirely miss the points I make, either accidentally or deliberately, I don't care which it is.

The streets of London are full of our own homeless, people step over them to be seen to be concerned about foreign criminals and freeloaders. Indigenous homeless are not really fashionable for the champagne socialist.

If successive governments had got a grip and sorted out the housing crisis, they would be very welcome but given we have families with kids living in one room and having to share facilities I cant really be too concerned with Bosnians who come here of their own free will
