okay i'll be tuning in, wonder what they mean with a broader focus on the contestants?
unless they have ''Michael Wendler'd'' John Torode, as ''redacted'' :hehe: same how DSDS on the german RTL did that during auditions, not showing Wendler, after the alleged accusations of his racist behaviour, and only show us Grace Dent

Its the series that was filmed before either of them were sacked I believe. I imagine the editors have been busy cutting the screen time down of the pair of them

yes more screen time for the contestants, so no longer the discussion about who goes home most likely each episode but then focus on the contestants waiting for the results
also during the tasting, the camera's more on the contestants facial expression rather than them tasting the dishes

I think that we need to hear a rap from John before he leaves.

i asked my good friend the AI, what we could expect from this series
and it said
With the hosts’ commentary and screen presence scaled back, the show’s usual rhythm—where viewers might pick up on subtle cues from John Torode or Gregg Wallace—is being disrupted. That means:
️*♂️ Fewer hints: No lingering shots, no loaded reactions, no foreshadowing from the judges.
More focus on the chefs: Their cooking, their nerves, their triumphs—without the usual narrative nudges.
Less predictability: Viewers won’t be able to rely on host behavior to guess who’s in trouble.
With the hosts’ roles scaled back, the tasting segments are getting a subtle but meaningful makeover. Here's how the show is adapting:
Less Host-Led Commentary
Instead of lingering on John Torode or Gregg Wallace’s reactions, the show will cut quickly to the verdict.
Their feedback will be shorter and more neutral, avoiding dramatic build-up or personal banter.
More Contestant Reactions
Expect close-ups of the chefs as they await judgment—nervous glances, hopeful smiles, and emotional responses.
The show will lean into the psychological tension of the moment, making the tasting feel more personal and unpredictable.
Editing for Impact
The tasting scenes will be re-edited to highlight the dish itself—its plating, textures, and the chef’s explanation.
Viewers will get more insight into the chef’s thought process, rather than the judges’ personalities.
pretty sure this will be quite the success for viewers, honestly

also no more annoying chats with the contestants from Torode, Wallace being seen and instead more interaction between the contestants themselves, and more focus on the actual cooking
i don't see the bad things in that  only improvements if you ask me

It was never going to work.
They should've just shown them as normal.
We need to get out of the Dystopian age already.
