Unfortunately this country can't afford to piss off one of our most powerful allies.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Trump.

If I told you he was getting free hotel accommodation paid for by the state during his visit, would you be happy to have him?

what have they been doing :worry:

Forcing Steam to take Games with Adult material (with admittedly questionable content,) off of the platform.

Personally I really am not too bothered about that in and of itself as I don't play many Games of that nature anyway.

It's when MasterCard and Visa start turning their attention to Games like GTA, COD, and Doom, even games like Fortnite and Overwatch, is where my problem lies with what they're starting up by telling Steam what Games they can and can't have on their platform.

Because the moral panic never ends with stuff that most people can understand, these groups get power hungry and try to overstep their mark.

I tip that within the next decade, MasterCard and Visa will try to force these storefronts to stop selling Horror Games, and then work their way around to the juggernauts like GTA and Fortnite.

I think it's cool he's visiting places he has history with (or at least his family). I hope it benefits Scotland directly in some way and I think these trips are a real opportunity... it's not often our politicians get to sit together for a chat and since it'll be on mutually friendly turf (his Golf courses... sigh...), then it may make some meaningful conversations more accessible for them... I think if someone is going to protest locally, for example not supporting the endless violence in Gaza. Then this would be the best time to get your politicians attention as these meetings can spark more conversations... if they're bound to happen, anyway...

He has a point about wind turbines, visted the Venetian Waterways in Yarmouth at the weekend and the view is ruined by turbines, which might be palatable if this 'free' source of power was transferred to electricity bills but it isn't so we are paying for these and not seeing any benefit due to the link with gas prices when is that going to be addressed.

It's not much different than "debanking" someone, it sounds like. It's not a regulated thing because it wasn't a thing really until recently, but I'm thinking in the US at least some legislation will come to fix that up eventually... because that's ridiculous that they take away your entire livelihood because the payment processor or bank wants to be an authority on how you're allowed to make money (legally, obviously) or even just to pull the rug because you've said something that offended enough of their supposed customers they find a way to cut you out of their business.

I don't give a crap what other games Steam sales. My only gripe is they take off the M-18+ whatever stuff off their top list because it's always on there and a lot of the list is full of that stuff. If should be a second category on a nested page so normal people can find normal games to play without sifting through 24 Christmases worth of Waifu games because men are bored at their desk and want to play Solitaire with their fictional girlfriends...

I saw this in my feed just now (I'm up too late again working on something). I don't know if it's connected, but it also impacts Steam... sounds more like it's tied to the age verification laws... AlDkL3DndtM

None of this is about Trump or his golf course. Sorry, mods. Sorry, Trump. (Edit: I asked mods if they could move/merge this discussion to a new thread)

I personally would be up for that idea.

There's only ever been the odd 18+ "Adult" Games that have ever grabbed my eye in the first place, so like you've said, it would make it easier to access the Games that you're actually interested in buying.
