[Spain endures 44C heatwave as
wildfires burn near Madrid.

Wildfires have broken out across Spain
as the country endures baking temperatures
with blazes encroaching on towns and cities,
including the capital Madrid.
Fire crews worked overnight
to battle blazes in Tres Cantos,
an area located 23km north of Madrid.]

Seville is the hottest place in Spain right now at 41 C

Not uncommon in August for that part of Spain

Most other stations in Spain are between 30-34 C which is normal summer highs

44 in Madrid is pretty normal hence why there is a mass exodus of people to the coast and the month of August is pretty much Spanish Holidays

That's too much. Still very hot here, but not like that.

yes as it is very close to North Africa

although it is hotter in that area of Spain, than it is in the Sahara, since the Sahara has ice cold nights, while it remains very hot even late in the evenings of southern Spain
