A simple poll thread. Please use the other thread by Cherie to discuss further. We don't need two sets of arguing. Just vote and say why. Don't denigrate others votes.

Let's see what we all think.

If it gets into arguments I'll request it closed. It is not for that thank you.

I think I would lean towards giving her Community service tbh.

But I do understand where Glenn's coming from in terms of her actual sentence being appropriate.

Because for example, if I went around making comments like that on Social Media, I do feel like society would be taking it much more seriously because I'm a young guy who doesn't have any children.

But the reason that I'm saying Community service, is that I do believe that she said something in the heat of the moment, and wasn't really going to harm the immigrants.

You're contradicting yourself though love.

She got what she deserved, upheld on appeal too, so the right outcome.

I'm not.

I understand why she got her sentence, but I would give her Community service because I don't believe that she would actually do it.

Yes I agree with that but then if that's your opinion how can you agree her sentence was fair? I think you just try to please everyone.

Let’s hope she’s learnt her lesson and will think again before she tweets such damaging, hateful words.

I personally don't think that it was fair, I just understand why other people would think it was fair.

For me personally, the two options on the poll that I don't agree with at all are hang her (because obviously I'm not someone that wants people to die over tweets,) and giving her a slap on the wrist, because she did talk about wanting people burned alive.

I can't think of one country that would give a civilian a slap on the wrist for wanting to burn people alive.

She didn't Mock

we all know that

It's been weaponised by the far left in the culture war

That for me is very disturbing

Like poor racist Lucy has been weaponised by the far right? Her press tour is astonishing.

being absolutely factual. She had a lawyer representing her, she knew what the consequences could be if found guilty. Rather than going to trial she pled guilty and went straight to jail. She should have protested her innocence at a trial rather than moaning about it later
