I was wondering this.

it's linked to the general idea of rabbits (and rabbit feet) as symbols of luck and fertility,
and the custom serves as an early morning ritual to ward off bad luck and ensure good
fortune, similar to the pinch and punch tradition.

Welcome Autumn. You have been missed. This is UK not summer. Summer is fake news

never heard anyone say "White Rabbits" at the start of the month over here

In Ireland, and elsewhere, the "White Rabbit" saying is a superstition where saying "White Rabbit," "Rabbit Rabbit," or "Coinín Bán" (white rabbit in Irish) at the start of each month is believed to bring good luck for the rest of the month. The phrase should be the very first thing you say when you wake up on the first day of the month, ideally before midday.

Neem you dont get up till after midday so you may have missed this?

I’ve not heard anyone ever say that in Australia, South Africa, NZ or UK. Is it an old person thing?

…we’re apparently in a ‘false autumn’ atm, which is becoming more and more common as a ‘phenomenon’ the UK…autumn doesn’t officially begin until 22 September but we’re seeing autumn changes…yesterday when I was out walking, conkers were already on the ground from some trees, which is very early…

Summer is not over yet – but, depending on where you are in the country, you may have noticed a noticeable change in the landscape in recent weeks.

While the first day of autumn officially begins on 22 September, you may have already spotted berries ripening early, brown leaves falling from trees, and hedgerows taking on an unmistakably autumnal look.

These are all signs of what meteorologists refer to as "false autumn", which is when the stress of extreme summer conditions prompts trees and plants to behave as if the season has changed, even if it is too early.

Dr Mike Wheeler, principal lecturer in biology at the University of Worcester, told the BBC that after a "very, very long, hot, dry summer", nature's resilience is being pushed to its limits – impacting wildlife and the food it eats.

…that’s also the first time that I’ve ever heard of white rabbits being referred, I just had to look it….
