Yes, but from an American perspective, this wouldn't have given the proper context to people here about what the rally really was about... because people here are really uneducated on issues outside of our own borders and most international stories are "storyboarded" in such a way to reflect back what happens in our own borders. I'm someone that is extremely pro-freedom of speech/freedom of expression type of guy, to the point where most people will probably think that I'm off of my head for thinking that way.:laugh:

Protests help expend energy that are out there hanging in the ether and they are very needed. The alternative is to let energy build in other directions and get misdirected or expressed in other ways (usually bad).

He has no business trying to manage the concerns of his own people if his instinct is to talk or event hint at language on cracking down, *or just using non-conciliatory language, whatever it should be called, just after an intended peaceful protest. It fuels the dissent and has the complete opposite effect because it communicates his fear in that position, which can be easily misused or twisted by others, including foreign actors. As a distant observer, I have gotten the impression he must be scared shitless by what is happening. That's very much not good.

This was a Tommy Robinson organised protest, he didn’t just stumble across it. The people are there because of Tommy Robinson not in spite of him.

Was super enlightening to see video footage or a group of “protect our women” men surrounding a sole woman, ripping her placard from her hand and breaking it in two. Was also pretty enlightening to see the swarm of men in the parade pass by a woman a bridge and sing “get yer tits out for the lads”.

When you campaign for free speech just so you can tell women to get naked for your own enjoyment. What a worthy cause :love:

However he does need to address the elephant in the room, which as Livia has pointed out earlier in the thread herself, Far Right Politics wouldn't be growing if the Left weren't also going more Politically extreme too.

They were the dregs of human society. The people marching with union flags now are, almost without exception, ordinary people, while they may be on the Right, no way are they Far Right. They do not want the removal of all people who are black, indeed there were black people marching with them. What they want is the removal of undocumented illegals who've landed on our shores with the tender help of the farcically named Border Force and Lifeboats, a charity that exists on donations from the public but which the Government forces to act as taxis.

I do disagree though about the actions of some last Saturday. The police started it yet again...the same police force who treat them different every weekend at protests up and down the country, the same police force who did starmers budding last summer with the help of the judges. The same police force who batterr down old women's doors and arrest hem for an illegal immigrant breaking into their house, amongst other things.


No,last Saturday the police had both sides seperated, just off trafalger square. Then a large separate group of antifa members who wernt with the main group of lefties wanted an escort to the main group from the police. I am denying that's just what it was and that you're underplaying what happened. Remember that 41% of those arrested during those protests last year were already known to police because of domestic abuse. To suggest people arrested last year were done so unfairly and just for 'nasty words' is undermining the extent of what happened which was destruction, violence and racist abuse towards minorities - some who were born and raised here and just happened to not be white.

I think we should be honest about what last year actually was and it wasn't just "shouting nasty words".
