upgrade to existing customers who are
still using the older TiVo box
as a way to provide a more modern and

Sounds horrific

From what I have heard … you receive a completely new system, install it yourself then have to get used to a complete new layout/ operating system and all your recorded programs and series links are lost !!

Thank gawd we have the ultra reliable Sky !!
