TV presenter and journalist Anita Rani will take on the ultimate race along with her dad Bal.

The 47-year-old announced the news on her Instagram, saying: "Hi everyone, I can finally reveal to you all that I will be doing Celebrity Race Across the World with my dad! Yeah with my dad! I can't tell you any more than that. You'll have to watch it, but yeah I got to do the dream programme."

Anita and her dad will compete against Derry Girls star Dylan Llewellyn and his mum Jackie, who were the first team revealed for the upcoming series.

Similar but there’s no eliminations (well there one on civilian series) and they can’t use planes, it’s all land travel.

You basically see their whole journey and how they get there is up to them, they often take very different routes.

I felt we learnt more about the contestants in that 1 hour than we did about any of the BB housemates in 7 weeks :laugh:

…the guy who was driving them…?…his environment of probably being quite poor flowing up and Harley’s of having celebrity parents so quite privileged in some ways…?…I know that she said she’d worked from a very young age but I imagine her life experiences and his would be entirely different…and yet they seemed quite in the same place of wanting the same things in life…that’s quite fascinating, really…
