…this might be a story that is known to some but it’s not one that I was familiar with at all…it’s billed as a shocking real life story, which contains some actual police body cam footage also…and it most definitely is shocking/incredible/appalling and one of the most extraordinary stories of catfishing…

I saw you making a thread in TV Chat and I knew it was going to be about this show

I had unfortunately seen a spoiler pop up on FB so i knew it was the mother before they revealed it on the show. Still so shocking though because I didn't know how horrendous those messages were. And her downplaying of how bad it was after she was caught. As far as I can see from googling afterwards Lauryn hasn't had any contact with her mother since she got out of prison so I hope she sticks to that

…I’ve become so predictable……

…yeah, there was links that I could have posted to explain it more fully but I also didn’t want to give out too much information because they’re also obviously filled with the outcome, also…I don’t know how much of the text message content you’ve seen…but it’s so shocking that a parent/mother could have done that to her child and encouraged her to kill herself….the body am footage is so disturbing because really, even then…there seemed so much regret for herself but very little thought for her daughter shown…

…so insane, I could never have predicted that a parent could have written those things…

Yeah the body shaming as well, and telling her to kill herself, the woman must be mental

…and telling her that she was ugly and that no one liked her/in fact, that everyone hated her…and all of the time, having a close mother/daughter relationship so she knew the impact that it was all having on Lauryn…as well as having ended her relationship with Owen…(..my own feelings are…)…that it was always Kendra from the beginning and those were the only messages sent…that it did begin with Kendra and end with Kendra…

…I also thought that how she was with Lauryn when she was serving her prison time as well was quite bizarre…remorse and devastation wasn’t apparent then, either…he messages of telling her how beautiful she was and how much she loved her etc…seemed almost overwhelming but an opposite end…like she had travelled from one extreme to another…?…

….just so, so sad in how many lives Kendra impacted and left devastated…I felt so much for Chloe in how she has been suspected…I hope that they’re all able to move away from it all in their futures ….and interesting also that Lauryn decided to study criminology …I’m glad that she has a great bond with her father that seems to have strengthened and I hope through her adult life that she finds peace from it all and from what her mother did…and I hope that Kendra also is able to heal and that she’s able to have a relationship with Lauryn if that’s what Lauryn wants for her future also……

I watched this after watching Gogglebox the other night

….yeah, absorbing and shocking I guess is more what it was…I hadn’t seen Gogglebox with this but that’s happened with a few things/series etc with me that they’ve given away the ending before I’ve watched it…
