View Full Version : One of the worst twists of all time?

Not only are we losing someone straightaway, we based it on a few mins of live launch and we don’t even get to see the results tonight! :oh:
This is not boding well for this season.

It’s definitely up there with some of the worst twists ever

They literally did this twist in timebomb
Being left with 11 housemates for the rest of the series is ridiculous
ITV also need to stop treating the viewers like mugs only telling us at the very end that we won't find out the result of the twist after banging on about it all show

They manage to always outdo themselves every year when it comes to flopping the twists.

Next year they will make 2 of them get married on launch. By 2027 it will be snuff Big Brother

Omg remember timebimb 4 in 4 out
I will say it does make it harder to want to spend the energy to get attached to any one HM if they're just going to be chucked out for the silliest of reasons... but can't say this is shocking

Waste of our time and theirs. I am sure some must have cancelled other plans for this
Meh. They already did it in bb16 and brought him back 3 weeks later. I bet the same happens.

This was worse, as we don’t even get to see the eviction live.

I know, what was the point that
Says a lot about people who would rush to their apps to vote someone out like that, ruining peoples year long effort getting through the process on a whim just doesn't sit well with me.
Whoever came up with this idea needs sacked, people will just stop giving the time and effort needed, for what is a literal 15 mins of fame.
Yeah it was terrible.
I hate people getting evicted on the first night. It's like what is the point? And it wastes the audience's time too cause we're being introduced to new housemates that aren't even staying one night.
Just feels really pointless and anticlimactic.

Genuinely so deflated after that launch... so much hype around the game changing & a never-been-done-before twist for that???

I personally agree with you.

It's a shot in the foot for BB because they took the time to put together this cast only to make them feel disposable on night 1.
Sounds awful from your reaction. Surely you're not gonna continue watching if you're not enjoying it? You'd have to be some kind of masochist to do so

This is not boding well for this season.
The three weakest links were obvious though
It wouldn’t matter a jot to me if they kicked all three out .
The one that grates the most is obviously Caroline who just oooozes negative energy and comments
I hope to never see or hear her ever again

It’s “never been done before” because ITV doesn’t recognise the C4 and C5 seasons of the show. It’s new… for ITV.

Honestly, you are more than entitled to think it ofc, but please tell me why Caroline is so awful to you?

I had already thought it was pretty obvious by our deep and immeasurable bonds across TiBB that we're all largely here because we have each been traumatized at one point or another by Trash TV.
SD itself is full of sufferers of "Infotainment", a very specific kind of Trash TV.
…all of the time of it consuming their thoughts and lives of them becoming a housemate and a life highlight and then not to see the light of the next morning from the house…it’s just too cruel, there has to be a part 2 to this twist further on, surely…I don’t believe there’ll be no new entrants and that evicted person will have an opportunity to come back…sucky macsuckface atm…

This twist is going to die very quickly, i wonder if they will add older housemates later?

To be fair it does say evicted from the house. But what if that means they are going into another house, a secret house. In itvs eyes that will be a brand new never before done twist too...then there will be 4 brand new new housemates in that new house too. And either the public, the evicted housemate, the current housemates, or the winning of a place such as opening secret boxes or doing a task eg busktucker trial will decide on the final three housemates to enter the big brother house. Oh and all of this will take a week.

I thought that too, I still find it slightly hard to believe they will actually evict someone from the show entirely. Some of the language they've used seems to be deliberately very vague

…I’m sure that Will did say specifically that there was no Secret house….i think the person will be out, out…but then go back in, in again at some point…

Yes sadly I fear that the one who was kicked out will be watching the programme for a few days then will be offered a place back in the house if they are prepared to dump someone to take their place
I predict it will be Caroline who will LOVE the idea and do it without a second’s hesitation

Yeah I'm not a fan of the ' Evil eyeball' thing , chances are Emily has gone anyway .
I was surprised Sam was in the line up , but maybe his personality is grating .

Hope there is another house and there are more older hm's. I just don't see the point of evicting someone on the first night.

What’s this obsession with oldies !??
Whenever they go in they pretend they’re younger than they are in an attempt to fit in and curry favour with the younger ones

The public want older people but obviously don’t seem to want Caroline when she’s old

Because we're bored of seeing the same age group every year ,we need more diversity in age .
Throw in more than one 50 something , a few 60+ . Even just a few people in their 40's .
It seems it's always very young contestants mostly aged between 18 - 24 like love Island or something.

The thing also is Sam is expected to go but I think this guy has the potential to be a really great housemate. Much more to him than his entrance.
I agree, a rubbish twist.
Barry.

I guess the point of it is to boost ratings for the first highlights show. There is usually a big drop-off from the launch.
