Absolutely dreadful launch

Terrible presenters

Terrible twist

Terrible housemates on the whole. Far too young

3 of the most intriguing characters are up for the chop

I’m so sad it’ was so bad

I weren't a fan of the twist.

I like AJ & Will.

The twist was crap.

The right 3 are up.

But the rest aren't that great.

The thing is it was a twist that was recycled from timebomb

Imagine emulating one of the worst series. :smug: Such a bold and maverick approach that's demonstrative of only true genius.

I switched off since I wasn’t feeling it. I’ll catch up with tomorrow’s highlights.

I must say, love ITV for bringing it back to our screens, but it’s obvious the amount of effort they’re putting into the franchise. It’s just so… mediocre at best, and that’s coming from someone who absolutely loved Big Brother during its original run and never missed an episode. I’m not sure who their targeted demographic is now or what they’re trying to do with it, but it needs a new set of producers (or the OG producing team - Paul Osborne, Phil Edgar-Jones) and new host to give it some TLC.

Optimistic it might turn around, but the launch was so lackluster it’s hard to believe this show is set to continue for the foreseeable future.

I turned off after seeing 9 housemates
I won’t be watching this series

At least they all seem pretty normal which is what everyone wanted, apart from Elsa, not liking that there is just one over 30 person yet again, what is it with the one token over 30

…Elsa, do you mean because she’s a TikTok/influencer…?…in the media it’s reporting that she isn’t the only one, though…it’s reported that Emily is a social media influencer and is also a regular political contributor on TV news outlets such as GB News and Talk…and Zelah is also a social media/transgender influencer…

…well, allegedly and apparently as written by the DM, anyway…I was looking for a nice Elsa launch pic to post in her fan thread and I saw the article that all three were influencers …obviously we knew with Elsa…

I quite liked the launch.

On paper, it looks a good mix of housemates although I was only impressed a bit as to half of them.
However it's impossible to judge on that few moments of seeing them.

The twist spoiled the launch and not revealing who has gone was rather pathetic.
However it's great to have it on again.

I know, but the fact is they are trying to pap it off as something that has never been done before, honestly the ITV producers need to do their research

Due to poor attention spans of the Tiktok generation the launch is all about "and next is another bright shiny thing is.." and we dont get to linger on the people in the house and how they are reacting to each other.

I didn't realise that Emily was Emily Hewertson. She is quite big on political twitter and I've heard her on Radio 5 Live a few times. Think she has quite a lot of connections to political journalists

…and also, Caroline’s ‘fame connection’ in having her own celebrity PR company so a few of them could be thought to be ‘not regular’ but with some followings already…that’s just how it is in current times though and the world of social media and the like…

They are all over excited kids with no real life experience
It’s not what the viewers want it’s what the producers want

They might aswell use AI housemates

I don't mind AJ & Will

But last year's launch was better.

And once again the age range in the housemates is disappointing, Caroline is the only token " oldie" ,and she's only 56 ? .

They definitely need to try and encourage the younger generations to improve their attention spans.

It will benefit them in so many areas of their lives, it's crazy how the media is encouraging them to basically be thick.

It's probably just me Redway but I'm disappointed so far.

I hate nomination twists and that's all that's happened sadly.
It may improve and others seem to be enjoying it.
However in these first few days, for me it's a let down.

Plus it looks like a showmance or romance is already possible.
I'm afraid so far I'm not impressed.

I don't know what it is with me.
Maybe I'm changing in my liking now for BB:joker:
On launch night I felt it was a good set of housemates on paper.
It's just sunk for me since that night.

The unnecessary and awful eviction of Emily was bad enough.
Even though she likely wouldn't have been a favourite of mine.
All that thinking and planning to go in for ages, then barely hours in the house.
Ridiculous.
However then to have these 4 come in and decide on only 2 of the originals to be up for eviction.
That has soured this week bigtime for me too.

With really nothing else happening other than tedious conversation.
Just my view of course as others seem right into it.

Tbh I weren't happy with Emily's eviction either.

And with the current eviction, I don't understand why the newbies were immune?:conf:

And I wonder if my taste has changed when it comes to BB too.

It was evil to evict her in that way though it doesn't impact me really as a viewer because I had no time to get attached. However, that's also wrong because it made the cast feel cheap and disposable on the whole. But, to her credit, she's tagged herself in Instagram as "the shortest-lived housemate ever".

Imagine auditioning, and going through that whole process to be chucked out before even getting to be a housemate
