No i don't think so, I think he genuinely felt bad hearing the 80 year old parents story

Absolutely game playing. I don't like him but I admire his game playing.

No.
I think he more genuinely thought it through again.

I don't really think so since she didn't exactly scream "contender to win" from her personality anyway... if anything it might be a poor tactical decision to get rid of her without having her face a public vote (with the strong anti-tory sentiment among BBUK viewers).

I think it was just an arbitrary decision made with very little to go on.

Sam sounded fairly normal in the diaryroom - interestingly he , like the awful Caroline seemed to miss the part where she said she’d put the money in savings, and only heard her say ‘holiday’ !!

Agreed …even though Caroline obviously used that sob story to gain his backing

If it was strategy then I don't think it was the right one.

Emily would be out as soon as she's up.

Caroline said she’d pack in work and spend time with her parents ..

I think that he just hit it off better on first impressions with Caroline, than he did with Emily.

He actually said that it was hearing about Caroline’s elderly parents that changed his mind

I'm trying to read through that bullshit lie.

I honestly don't believe him on that being the reason.

It’s the only possible explanation

He was gonna vote out Caroline who initially offered to go as they were two youngsters with their lives ahead of them and she’d had an eventful life already ... then BB mentioned the £100,000 and Caroline said “I’d stop working and spend time with my ageing parents “ ….

Cue Sam snivelling and says “ I’m changing my vote .. the parents thing changed it for me “

If it's really the truth then fair enough.

But I will never go purely off what a Housemate tells me, because they often end up contradicting themselves somewhere down the line.

Sam's not thinking of Caroline winning the hundred grand.

He wants it.

She completely omitted to mention the one thing that would probably tug at their heartstrings of Emily and Sam .. spending time with her ageing parents ffs

Even if they weren’t convinced by that they would be calculating the public’s reaction to them voting out an older person giving that reason for staying .. I think that changed Sam’s mind actually

I don’t think it was strategic at all, mainly I think he went with his gut, and I think because he probably knew Caroline would be out, I think because she wanted the money for her parents as well sold it.. which I think he genuinely cared

Fair enough

It’s difficult to know what the hell Sam IS thinking to be fair

I couldn’t work out if his tears are legit or not.. I feel like with that frozen face I’ll never know if he was putting it on for the cameras

She's not that bothered about her elderly parents if she had 7 weeks spare to see them but instead went in the BB house.

I don't think so..if it was strategic I want would think he would get rid of Caroline. The reason I think that is because she's eccentric and different so if I was in his position I would see her as the threat..they kind of person is usually popular with the public

Emily would’ve been out first or second regardless

We don’t know that though .. she was an entirely different person in the exit room to the one in her VT intro.

He originally voted Caroline ,then he changed his mind.

Whether it genuinely was because of Caroline mentioning her parents,or whether it was just a convenient excuse who knows.

But every time Sam cries , and expressed how difficult the whole decision was ,I keep thinking he's going to burst out laughing. It feels a bit put on .

She was a right wing white blonde female on BB, she could have saved a baby seal from a clubbing and wouldn't have made any difference, she was doomed from the start.

Yeah she would likely have been evicted in the first few weeks. Still, she should have had longer than an hour.
