View Full Version : Repulsive Richard: The worm is turning

It didn't take the human Bugs Richard Bunny long to discover that his fellow housemates are largely gullible, timorous, naive, intellectually on income support or, in one or two cases, charmingly dimwitted, and, therefore, quite incapable of deciphering this malevolent snake oil peddler's toxic verbal slime or seeing this shameful opportunist for the embodiment of vileness he truly is. As treacherous as a politican and as fluent in their double-talk, Bugs has found his Eden, where George is the apple and Bugs is the snake.

Wot ho, Benjamin!!!
I don’t believe that he did lie to Caroline
It was just a complete misunderstanding
He was referring to his request to change their initial choice and even said … “ the big boss” ( Big Brother) said no “

Yes that’s entirely feasible plus he’s hardly gonna be streetwise like the younger ones and Caroline

There’s a 4 year age difference between him and Caroline. So saying she’d be street wise like the young ones but he wouldn’t be is odd.

What ??
Have you heard some of the things she’s done in her life .. the people she’s been associated with , the crazy lifestyle ?

Doesn’t mean she’s street smart lol. Also, he’s in the arts, which is a highly competitive and cut throat environment.

I rather think it does to be fair.
Mixing in with celebrity lifestyles means she will have seen and heard of things we can only dream of .. is my opinion

I don’t mind him really but I feel that he’s maybe exaggerating his standing in the ‘business’ —
So did’t he mention being commissioner to write TWO songs for some little known choir or something ?
Hardly prolific output by the age of 60

She may have mixed in celebrity lifestyles but that doesn’t mean she’s street smart.
Do you know what street smart means?

Not really. You’re saying she’s street smart because she comes from a celebrity lifestyle, but that doesn’t make her street smart. Street smart means to be able to deal with difficult/dangerous situations in built up areas (like cities and town).

Or not.. you are welcome
Please don’t try and suggest that Caroline is naive after her eventful life / lifestyle

Not sure where you pulled that from but street smart is defined as:

another term for streetwise.

The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words.
-Philip K. Dick-
See above. It explains repulsive Richard's modus operandi in 31 exquisitely well-chosen words. Let me explain.
The repulsive one is marginally more cultured than his housemates, he has a larger vocabulary and uses it
to good effect to convey a picture of reality as he sees it, which, naturally, favours his world view and agendum.
Marshall McLuhan said "The medium is the message" and slimy Richard's modest eloquence (the medium)
gives credence to his slyly inserted suggestions (the message) in the eyes of the housemates.
By presenting the others with a picture of reality shaped with his words, which the others accept, he can
control the people who consequently assess reality on his terms.
He did this to great effect when the quorum of four newly arrived dolts had to decide on whom to bestow the
poisoned orbs. He played them like a fiddle.
Let me do a Richard by hinting "isn't it strange that one of the two people chosen is trans-gender and the
other is Asian", both, in my opinion innocent of transgressing the laws of the civilzed world, but evidently
guilty of unspeakable deeds in the eyes of repulsive Richard. It gives him no credit that he managed to persuade
the others, as he knows that they - unbelievably - have given elevated status to this manipulative slimebag.

Didn’t he suggest in his VT that he was going to shake things up ??
He sounds as though he’s a BB superfan who knows how the process works and probably thinks he has the masterplan to win the whole thing
I sincerely hope he doesn’t win the £100,000 as I read somewhere that he leads a rather ‘rich’ lifestyle or something similar

We never even saw his VT on the main show which isn't very fair. I saw somewhere that he was in there originally as a guinea pig to trial the new house and production liked him so much they put him in. Not sure if that's true though

I definitely saw something with him saying he was gonna shake things up or drop some bombs as I thought he didn’t look the type..

Here’s the bit about his current lifestyle but maybe I misunderstood … maybe it meant a very fulfilling life as he has an adopted son and grandchildren ??

Despite a lifetime of celibacy, Londoner Richard enjoys a rich family life …

Yeah I think they only showed it on L&L. Very unfair given Emily was basically evicted based on her VT
