Or do you think she’s full of s***?
There’s quite a lot of horsesh1te in the house so it’s conceivable .. that said it’s a dangerous game as Big Brother or one of the other housemates could test her or try to catch her out at any time sooooooo

Absolute shite, that conversation with Tate proved she's definitely at least exaggerating her abilities. She probably speaks a bit of Italian and knows some phrases in other languages. I would like to rewatch that whole thing with Tate actually because I'd swear she said she spoke Polish but she clearly had no clue what Tate was saying when he started speaking Polish to her

No she is havering a load of nonsense and since Tate exposed her, she has not mentioned it and watch her she wont again :joker:
Maybe the other housemates have picked up on that interaction and may use it as a reason for nomination her for ‘maybe’ being dishonest !?

…I don’t know what her fluency is in each language but doesn’t she have a Polish parent …I would say that she would know some Polish if it was spoken in the family home and with relatives etc…she probably knows five languages if that’s what she claims but has she said that she’s fluent or just has some understanding/speaking of…
yes, there are varying degrees of speaking the language. Also, there are dialects within countries which make it difficult to understand even if you are familiar with the language. The other thing is that language is constantly evolving and if you are not living it, you are toast

I believe she can speak Italian and Polish due to her parents the rest I think she's talking out her arse.

…yeah, I’m not sure whether it was said that she could speak 5 languages fluently but she was obviously brought up in Italy so should speak that fluently and I imagine will speak/understand some Polish if one of her parents is Polish…but obviously that’s also dependent on how much Polish was spoken in the home and whether it was taught by parents…?…languages are taught differently in general in European schools and I would say that she was possibly taught maybe two other languages as well as English through her schooling…and she may have expanded any of those beyond schooling…

…..my French…
…ahh, I just found the clip when Nancy told Elsa and Teja which languages she could speak…French and Spanish were the other two along with her English, Italian and Polish…(…I was actually looking for the clip with her not understanding Tate speaking Polish because I missed that…)….

I mean I can technically speak five languages if we're talking very basic phrases but I would never boast about my language abilities. I really hope BB makes her speak them all for a task

it was last nights show i think. Something was said in polish and she smiled, i think she understood what was said but she didnt respond in polish. Also, sometimes people understand a foreign language that is spoken but can't get the words out quickly to respond

To be fair we only see about 24 minutes footage out of every 24 hours in the house so we have no idea at all what was said immediately after the tiny segment we were shown ..
The two could have had an extensive conversation in Polish with all the others laughing their heads off .. we just don’t know
Also can’t say that anyone has mentioned or even referred to Nancy being multilingual ( or not) … not even in the live stream programs

She means 'words'. She knows five words.
Jenny sounds like she's speaking all 5 at once

It was interesting to hear her fellow countryman on the Late Show say that even he struggles with what she says sometimes

…tbf and accurate, he corrected himself and did say that he personally didn’t have any problems at all in understanding her…but that he felt that others might or would because of how quickly she spoke…
…I don’t have any problems in understanding her either as my dad was from Northern Ireland and spoke very quickly…/…as do many of my relatives…
My father's also from NI, Ammi. what a coincidence

……I knew that we were connected…
…but yeah, I don’t have any difficulty in understanding Jenny butbI do understand that some people will because of the speed she speaks…mind you, I think that she might slow down quite a bit with Quaver deprivation…

I wasn't a fan of her acting a bit thick ,but I don't mind her now.
Her friendship with Farmer Cameron is nice .

I can understand her ok when she’s in the diary room but when she’s talking in a group situation she kinda talks faster and I can’t make out a word she’s saying
She’s far more ‘curvy’ than the other two …

I have this problem with spoken Japanese sometimes, especially where I'm not speaking it daily (no reason to). I read it everyday, but it takes time for my brain to switch back over for listening and put resources into spoken. So much so I've started to read it out loud instinctively to help keep that part sharp. However, when I am around someone who understands the language fluently enough, once the Japanese side of my brain kicks in, it feels like a switch over and then it's really easy. When my friend came to the US and stayed with us, most of the time we spoke in Japanese (poor husband) and it was just easier to communicate that way naturally... but when a non-native speaker asks me to say something, I have more trouble because I guess I run on adrenaline and my brain is like "whhhhy" and so it refuses to dedicate precious resources to purposeless vanity ... but put something in my hand someone is asking me if I can translate it and I can read it out loud perfectly.
So my test around that block would be to put something in that language that needs translating in her hand and ask her to read out loud and explain it. It opens up that part of the brain that knows that language faster in my experience. (makes sense if the whole point of language is to communicate/interpret things)

She doesn't appear to be that much different weight wise to the other two imo.
There must be something wrong with my eyes.:joker:

I like her friendship with Farmer Cameron too.
I'm not necessarily bothered either way about her in other dynamics though.
