This.

I found him way too much launch night but when he's taken it down a notch I think he's a like able kind of a guy. He does listen to others opinions as well which i like a lot because in this climate people on either "side" tend to shut down their listening ears

he didn't ask BB to give George a warning though, he spoke to him face to face and they resolved it

He was allowed to be upset by it, it wasn’t a nice thing to do in front of everyone (I appreciate George didn’t mean it maliciously). If someone did that to me I’d be deflated and upset too (not to that degree, but I can understand why it did upset him, as he’s already said it felt like he was back at school and people did that to him).

As far as housemates go, he’s in the middle tier. He doesn’t fade into the background like quite a few others, and seems a nice person.

I just mean the whole "i beg you pardon, how very dare you" Derek from Catherine tate routine

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSv9MmkcUCDSZZ6ikYZnkP-EtRHqKZXf1A_Zg&s

and the crying and the "oh i felt like i was back in school" - then act a bit more like an adult and not a school kid m8:shrug:

so performative but then he knows that Late and Live will treat him like some newly appointed Catholic saint

…I like him so far, he seems quite measured and even as a person and seems popular in the house…I liked him more from the incident with George in putting his feelings across very well in how he felt and then he and George talking it out between them…nothing not to like so far…

I like him but he’s no where near the top of my list. He was annoying at the start but quiet down a little more

George told Cameron B he was too loud, he took it on the chin, didn't melt down and question his authenticity  Sam took offence because he is playing up his personality, if he wasn't he wouldn't have taken it down a few notches, that said he is not the worst in there....looks at Elsa

Nah he doesn't annoy me. His voice is a bit jarring at times, he sounds like a spoiled Cali high school girl you see in the movies. But over all im pretty indifferent to him.

He annoyed me with his hysterics over George mimicking him...but then he quickly won me back when he unironically compared his own floppy mannerisms to having a disability. That made me laugh.

I think he’s a nice , good hearted person.. his voice does kinda irritate me though especially as he sounds ok in the diary room some

Probably the most level-headed and approachable housemate in there, I've enjoyed them the most in conversations. Just seems a very sweet and non-judgmental person.

*was unsure if Sam is NB or goes by he/him?

or

the worst vanilla person for Big Brother

we want characters and opinions not wallpaper that cries when someone takes the tiniest bit of piss out of him

Glenn.

That vanilla you’ve posted non stop about him?

Can a mod also keep check on the homophobic posts please. It’s really tiresome now.

Dismissing a homophobic joke as just taking the piss is still homophobia.

Humour built on stereotypes normalises discrimination. It tells others that mocking gay people is acceptable if it’s done with a grin.

Intent doesn’t erase impact. If the joke targets someone’s sexuality or uses it as a punchline, it reinforces prejudice, even if said “as a laugh.”

Deflection is a classic defence people use to avoid accountability. It shifts blame onto the person who’s offended instead of the one who made the remark.

He is a bit at times ,but it's not overbearing.

I don't know why he got so offended by George, when George is like that with everyone.

I think he was more upset at being laughed at by the ‘boys’ as it brought back all the bullying and laughing at him at school

That’s my take on things

But everyone laughs at everyone in that house, Sam himself laughed at Gani when Gani got zero balls in the eye task ,and Gani got offended by it .

Comedy is meant to take a topic or a community and make a joke out of it though.

Btw I'm not saying that George was joking, I'm just pointing out that Comedy can't be limited to what jokes it can tell because you get the current state that Comedy is in.

Yeah but he actually explained that when he was bullied at school he specifically remembers the boys laughing at him ( as tall Cameron and Tate did) and it brought everything back to him ..
