Really on the verge of giving up on this
Why is everything about Zelah and the LGBTQ drama
It’s so draining
And this is coming from a gay man
It’s all just so over the top, the traumatised crying
It’s just too much

I wouldn't say I feel sorry for her, but only because I think she willingly took a risk and didn't anticipate it would blow up. She's been testing the waters with crass comments about other HMs and a lot of them are digs, but they're crafty enough it's easy enough to miss.
I only feel bad for Zelah, but only because, he really doesn't deserve to be the butt of a joke. That said, if she didn't want her morality put on the table like that to be crucified by most of the house, she should've been more tactful. She was only sorry because she knew that there was no way after seeing the blow back that that wasn't going to get way out of hand, so she backtracked.

You despair for society because people are expected to respect others? Come on.
No one’s being dehumanised for saying the word woman. They’re being challenged when they use it to exclude or belittle others. That’s not persecution. That’s accountability.
What’s actually disgusting is pretending your discomfort with progress makes you a victim. Society’s moving forward. You can either keep up or keep moaning about it online.

The joke was made at his expense in a group setting which put him on the spot and could only be humiliating given how he'd advertised himself (yes, I used that word for a reason). He probably took it personally and that's reasonable, I think.
The whole rest of the group creating a circus as if they were all personally accosted themselves was completely satire.

But yeah I don't agree with formal warnings being handed out like hot cakes, I mean ... It's bizarre when I think back to the C4 days when all sorts went on ,and BB turned a blind eye to most of it . Remember BB6 when Roberto was bullied when he was in his box ,and got all types of food & even a toilet brush shoved in his box :umm2:.

It's not meant to be about any one Housemate.
And tbf to Zelah, we're meant to be watching multifaceted Housemates interacting with each other in the house, something that hasn't happened with any of the Housemates this series so far.
And I do think giving out constructive criticism is better for the Show, than being one of those fans that puts their fingers in their ears and telling those of us that are trying to give ITV some helpful advice to improve the Show, to 'not watch.'
If those of us complaining stopped watching, then the Show would be cancelled due to low ratings.

Gender dysphoria is a recognized medical condition, not a fantasy. Every major medical body in the UK and worldwide supports gender-affirming care because it reduces depression and suicide rates. That’s data, not ideology.
Comparing it to anorexia is lazy and wrong. With anorexia, treatment aims to correct a distorted self-image. With gender dysphoria, treatment aligns body and identity so people can live without constant psychological distress.

Tbf, I have never noticed Elliebrew be this negative about BB before, so I do think that they're a die-hard fan who has probably had enough with the way that ITV is running the Show.
Speaking for myself, I have seen more edge in a Paw Patrol episode than I have ever seen from an ITV BB episode.
Zelah is just a symptom of modern BB playing it too safe because of 'people's sensibilities' but he isn't even the worst Housemate in there for it (which should tell you how bad it is) so no wonder people like Elliebrew have started feeling drained about the year.
And I do agree with you that the focus on Zelah had calmed down slightly from the first week, but the Show still doesn't feel comfortable with letting us get to know Zelah the person (like we got with Nadia and Luke A) they just want us to see Zelah the Transgender Housemate.
Do you not see why some people might find that one dimensional edit annoying?

Yeah Sree was delusional
Marcus was also obsessive with Noirin that season aswell,it was actually uncomfortable when I rewatched it
2 years ago. It's aged badly in parts . I honestly found Sree weird and Marcus gross .
Well I'm not George's biggest fan ,but I don't want him ejected . I'm not liking how itv is handling BB ,it seems every year now there's something.
I'm surprised Farida didn't get a warning when she had that conversation with Hallie , or maybe because Hallie seemed fine and wasn't in tears .
It seems BB is dishing out warnings based on if the housemate is upset or finds it offensive.
I wish BB would be consistent, didn't what's her face Chanel or Chantelle whatever her name get a million warnings in the c5 BB days but still stayed in the house , was she sleeping with a producer or something?? :bored:  .
Nowadays it seems it's very much better careful what you say and how you say it . If BB had always been like this then I don't think people would be as annoyed.
And obviously housemates should be respectful of eachother, but I don't know.
Even when Farmer Cameron was talking to Sam the other day ,he kept asking him " is that ok " asking permission to use words, which I guess I understand in this climate,as people are so worried they'll offend. It's just so mad when we think back to the old BB days when nobody thought about what they said ,they just blurted out anything lol.

I mean, it was stupid to say because in no way was that going to work as a joke in that house or with some of the modern audience.
But I just don't believe that it wasn't milked for camera time and and yet another chance to bang on about being trans. And then jumped instantly on by everyone else in order to broadcast right think confirmation.
I refuse to believe that anyone who is pan sexual is that sensitive about that pan joke though, as corny as it is.
All in all, a lot of over acting and over reacting, particularly from Fey who makes every situation worse.

Fey looked ridiculous tonight, the hugging, the warning to Caroline to stay away and in fairness she ignored the warning, it was all so over the top, things happen in life, we dont always get treated how we want to be treated, the offence taken at the slightest thing, where is the resilience and back bone no wonder so many are on benefits with mild anxiety and cant step outside the door, so fearful of everything, not sure why Caroline is so keen to hook Nancy up with long Cameron, its all very bizarre or what her thought process was about civilisation :joker:

Not being funny but I think we're on the way towards rhe word "gay" being sensitive too.
I stumbled upon a video by the annoying Dean Withers. His caller was to explain why she's a Trump supporter and amongst her reasoning she said "gay people" "the gays" he stopped her and said "do you know that you can get flagged and banned for using that word?" What?! Since when. Now saying "gay" or "the gays" is seen as offensive?
Do people just wake up and look for new ways to be offended or?

The rules seem to change daily like you used to be able to say black then you couldn't you had to say brown, then you couldn't you had to say POC, now I think we are back to black and brown but its a bit of a minefield as unless you use X or Blue Sky you will never know what the right word is and end up unintentionally offending someone somewhere, what are we supposed to say if not Gay? Queer which is astounding given it used to be a slur but was then reclaimed but could only be said by Gay people....the world is seriously nuts

I’m also close to being done with this season. I may flit in and out but it’s failed to hook me in by now like previous years on ITV.
I struggle to care as much about this series when I know there's such a low bar for what's considered offensive enough to be worthy of removal or censoring. And so I know the HMs are always going to be hypervigilant over....frankly, being in any way interesting, combative, or amusingly subversive. It's not like they weren't that way already, what with internet cancel culture being so pervasive in today's world, so much so that the HMs were already policing their own behaviour. But now that BB itself is consciously and overbearingly censorious toward the HMs, stamping out even the mere possibility of spontaneity or liveliness, it's like they don't want the series to attract any attention whatsoever. Well, job well done, I say.

Tbh I believe you, as I think that it's perfectly normal (and morally right tbh) to have an issue with how ITV is policing the Housemates language on this series of BB.
Welcome to the Forum btw.
I think I know my BB history so without checking I think the last one I watched until the end was BB15. If that's the one Helen won.
I wish I'd have stopped earlier.
I've said it so many times on here, but Big Brother died the night Sezer was evicted over balloon tits Leah. That was the killer blow.
Most underrated housmate ever is Sezer.
Richard had had power in that house up until the week Sezer was evicted. Then Sezer took power of the house from Richard, when he brought Richard to tears, when Sezer stood up for Imogen, when Richard was bullying Imogen.
Of course the BB audience voted Sezer off for standing up to the gay man (Richard was a dominant bully)
I'm currently watching Americans react to classic British sitcoms and maybe one or three auditing videos outside a cop shop, on YouTube.
