View Full Version : It's not entertainment
I used to watch BB to be entertained. There has been nothing entertaining about this series. Nothing.
I look at all the threads on here on the current BB and the vast majority are about sex/gender. A subject that doesn't interest me in the slightest and on what planet can it be described as entertainment?
This just isn't for me

It's not entertaining in the slightest. It's just constant sex/gender lectures and a platform to be "educated". Big Brother should be popcorn TV, that's when it's at its best. The whole show revolves around identity politics and "offence" now. It's just boring. No one gave one single fck about politics during the C4 era, it was pure entertainment.
I also wonder if Elsa and Marcus, and possibly Tate, Cam B and Nancy applied for Love Island, and ITV were like "nah, no room for you in Love Island this year, but we may contact you or your agents about BB later in the year".
People moan about the C5 era, but give me that over this current borefest ITV era now. It was brought up here the other day, the BB with Hazel, Gina, Dexter, the Twins, Jemima, Dan etc.. Give me a series like that any day over this current snoozefest

Tbf, it’s a reality tv show and social experiment
And this series is doing excellent at reflecting reality - and I thought their eye task was the best real social experiment for years - I can’t really relate, I find lots of entertainment within this

You're not wrong on that tbf.
A lot of people are incredibly narcissistic and have a one track mind nowadays.

I'm wondering whether to bother catching up ,I'm a few episodes behind. I really don't like how ITV is handling BB,I wasn't a fan of how c5 handled it either. But it definitely feels way too egg shelly,to the point where nobody will say anything,in fear of getting cancelled or removed.
Also BB continues to put in what they think are ' controversial ' personalities. But what's the point of they can easily get removed?? . And I wasn't even a big George fan .
It wouldn't surprise me if Elsa ,Nancy,Tate etc originally tried for LI,I now think that's the case every year. They'll always be a few who just want attention and more followers on their social media .
