I’ve had the bug for weeks Kate

Apparently it’s rife in/across the NW

Hang in there, Kate,

I assume someone sneezed on you
on your recent day trip

Hope you have some meds
and try and eat a curry
it helps flush it out

I have it as well. Hoping it goes soon. Already sick of it. Working while sick isn't fun :fist:

I've had my dose..I blame the nose wax at the Turkish.

Every time I have it im sniffly for a week.

Not had a haircut in a month though due to the flem, and just total exhaustion both mentally and physically. Had to have a week of work down to it.

I rekon I'm a strain ahead of everyone in the old covid stakes. I'm convinced I had the original strain 3 months before everyone else.

I remember it like yesterday, stood in my local bookies down essex, stanford le hope to be precise. Betting slip in hand listening to the commentary on the tannoy before the race. The commentator did a hearty sneeze, and my whole body shuddered in a shivering manner. Next day, flu. Full of flem snot, aching bones, the lot. Thinking back typing this the local chinese chefs were regular and perhaps were in at the same time, but best not to quot2bme on that, cause the shivers were that memorable after the sneeze everything else is a blur.

Hope you get well soon Kate, but it seems this 4 month cycle of symptoms seems to be our norm from here on in.

Urgh! I've been asleep, and now I'm groggy as hell lol. Need paracetamol. I am still tired but I want to watch BB.

I think we all just call a stinking cold ‘the flu’ these days …

Maybe we should just accept that ‘the flu’ isn’t really the same thing as ‘influenza’ … something that killed my grandmother years ago.
