I agree with you Vesavius, especially about Farida.

At this point I will just campaign for BB to put in an attractive woman, because I'm certainly not getting the personality aspect that I crave from the Show.:laugh:

Yes they're risking the formula and it comes down to how much one likes/can stomach Farida. It's a producer's experiment more than a social experiment at this point. The show is a mess and some will love that, some will really hate it. I think they're doing this to keep viewership more stable throughout the season so they can justify petitioning to further extend, but I have nothing to go by in saying that.

They don't make shows for the same reason they did in 2000. We are 25 years on and its about advertising etc, why do you think we no longer pay to vote? The show no longer requires audience participation, its an advertising platform

I don't get her in there either she is so disillusioned in thinking she's the queen. It's not so much her eating crisps that bothers me i just wish she would eat with her mouth closed. the secret room was boring they could have so much more with it a complete waste of time.

She is the producer-led villain that is designed to break the formula. Next series when ITV start talking about twists it's going to give Farida flashbacks. I don't see them ever going back to an organic format.

It's not as bad as American reality yet (unwatchable) as there isn't heavy scripting but they are seeing what they can get away with. I am amused because this is watching social media corrode the show from the outside. Their modern definition of the social experiment: do whatever X or Reddit says is a good idea, aka im offended aka rule break.

In some ways this move may turn out to be incestuous because now house drama is going to reflect social media sentiments even more-so, especially as HMs (well, most) are likely experienced keyboard warriors themselves.

NOT Big Brother: Maybe it's the soapbox HMs we're choosing to put in there year after year, maybe it's the fact we keep pulling people up for saying things that might be considered offensive but that are also an inevitable consequence of freedom of expression? Maybe that's why the show's considered boring and in need of a shake up.
